Pink and Purple Look and Tutorial Using Illamasqua Magenta Muse and MAC Colourizations Collections

Here is a pink and purple look using some of the items I got lately, mostly from the Illamasqua Magenta Muse and MAC Colourizations collections. I love the burst of lilac, orchid and magenta shades in these products. I also love how they all blended well and came up with this eye look although they're from different brands and they all have different textures. Here are the items I used:

Pinks and Purple Eye Look and Tutorial Using MAC Quite Cute CUTiE Eyeshadow Quad

Moshi Moshi!, Goody Goody Gum Drop
Boycrazy, Azuki Bean

Here is a look and tutorial using mostly MAC Quite Cute collection items. I was scared in the beginning because I'd thought that the colors wouldn't really pop since these are quite sheer. It turned out okay especially since this was a day look, and I used a colored base underneath the shadows (I used MAC Fresco Rose paint pot).

I also used Play Time lipstick from this collection (above, right-most).

I also used Sakura as blush.

I also used MAC Superslick Liquid Liner in Smokey Heir.

Here is a step-by-step. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Eden all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Apply paint pot in Fresco Rose on lower lid using a fluffy shader brush.

Using a stiff shader brush, apply Goody Goody Gum Dropover Fresco Rose and all over lid.

Using the Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Azuki Bean on outer V.

Using the same blender brush, apply Boycrazy on the edges of Azuki Bean to blend.

Pink and Purple Eye Look and Tutorial Using MAC Swish and Play It Cool Eyeshadows

Happy New Year everyone! Here's a look that's been sitting in my laptop for a couple of months now, and I'd forgotten about it till I just browsed through my photos. Here's a purple and pink eye look using MAC Swish eyeshadow, and 6 Beauties Play It Cool Palette from the A Tartan Tale collection. As you can see in the photo above, I love Swish so much that I've already hit pan. It's your quintessential pink shadow and it's a nice lid color or wash to pair with a purple on your crease or outer lid.

Here is a step by step. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay in Sin primer potion all over lid and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply MAC paint pot in Fresco Rose on lid.

Using the Charm Pro shader brush or a MAC 239 brush, apply Swish on lid using patting motions.

Pinks and Purple Eye Look and Tutorial Using Aromaleigh Wonderstruck Eyeshadows

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I love Aromaleigh Wonderstruck collection, inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Here is a look using five of my Aromaleigh Wonderstruck shadows which I really adore, I got full sizes of them. If you want to check out my Aromaleigh Wonderstruck Collection Swatches and Review, click here.

Here is a condensed version of a tutorial. All eye products Aromaleigh unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay in Sin primer potion all over lid and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply MAC Fresco Rose paint pot on lid.

Using the Charm Pro shader brush, apply Flamingo-go foiled on the lid using MAC Fix+.

Using the slightly damp brush, apply Hearts A'Plenty on the inner lid.

Using the same shader brush, apply Rule Forty Two dry on the outer lid using patting motions.

Pink and Purple Eye Look and Tutorial Using MAC Palace Pedigreed Quad

Here is a simple look featuring the MAC Palace Pedigreed quad. I love pinks, mauves and purples so I really like this quad. I also used the new Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in Smokey Heir, and I like how it complements the colors in this quad. Here's a step-by-step. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Sin all over lid and lower lashline. Apply Fresco Rose paint pot on lid using a fluffy shader brush.

Lilacs and Purple Eye Look and Tutorial Using MAC Crazy Cool and Mineral Shadows

Here is one of my favorite looks- a light lavender/lilac on the lid with deep purples on the crease and outer lid. You can add more depth to the crease with deep purples to give it more oomph, and of course keep it light when you want it more natural-looking. I used my MAC Crazy Cool eyeshadow from the Dare To Wear collection. As I had mentioned in the review, I like Crazy Cool because I love to use light lavenders on the lid, but I don't have a pressed shadow in that shade that I particularly like to use. I always use either mineral shadows or MAC pigment in Quietly to replicate the look. Now that I have Crazy Cool, it's a lot easier to apply especially during those manic mornings while preparing for work.

I also used some of my favorite loose mineral eyeshadows from Aromaleigh. They are mostly from the recent collections like Victoria's Revenge and Ciao Italia!, so this was the first time for me to try them in a look. Again, Aromaleigh didn't disappoint. Even though they are loose shadows, they are very easy to apply and blend, and they are not splotchy at all - very pigmented and glide like butter on the lids.

I also used my lovable MAC purple lipstick in Go For It.  Love the purple tones and it fully complements my Crazy Cool. I just love purple lipsticks and this one is probably one of the best I have. The cremesheen formula is a huge plus.

Here is a step-by-step. All products Aromaleigh unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over lid and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply MAC Rollickin' paint pot on lid (for some reason, I used a green paint pot for this look. It was a momentary lapse of sanity- next time, I would choose Fresco Rose). Using the 239 brush, apply MAC Crazy Cool on lid.

Using the same brush, apply Mourning's Whimsy dry on the outer lid using patting motions.

Daytime Lilacs and Deep Purples Using Illamasqua and MAC Eye Shadows

Earlier this week, I made a review on my Illamasqua eyeshadow in Creep. It is a pretty matte lavender eyeshadow that I decided to pair with some of my MAC shadows lying around.

I used my beautiful Sorceress eye shadow palette from the Holiday 2009 Magic, Mirth, and Mischief. I love the combination of lavenders and deep eggplant purples. All eye products MAC unless otherwise specified.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Sin all over lid and browbone and lower lashline. Using a stiff shader brush, apply Illamasqua Creep on lid.

Using the 224 brush, apply Hypnotizing on crease.

Pinks and Purples Using MAC Colour 3 Quad and Blooming Lovely Lipstick

Here is another pink and purple look from my favorite purple quad, MAC Colour 3 quad from the MAC Spring Colour Forecast. I used the darker hues as crease and outer V colors for this look.

For the main lid color, I used my favorite Aromaleigh eyeshadow (yes, I love this so much that I think out of the hundreds of Aromaleigh eyeshadows I own, this is the one I love the most). It's the now-discontinued eyeshadow from the Valentine 2009 collection called Soul Mate. How I love this shadow! I've used this in many of my EOTDs and it never fails to amaze me. It gives this soft but shimmery pink shade that is eye-catching and really opens up the peepers. I'm so sad this has been discontinued! But good thing I was able to score one from Aromaleigh's "garage-sale" of discontinued items.

I also used my beautiful mineralize blush duo in Two Virtues from Too Fabulous collection for this look. Lovely purple pink color!

I used my greyish pink lipstick with purple undertones, Blooming Lovely from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's cool-toned, so I had to wear a warmer lipliner to balance the undertones. I love it though - very creamy and pigmented.

I used English Accents on top of Blooming Lovely. Here's how they look like together:

Here's a step-by-step. All eye products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Fresco Rose paint pot on lid.

Using a stiff shader brush like the 239, apply Aromaleigh Soul Mate on lid foiled on the lid using Charged Water (use a slightly damp brush).

Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Bruised Plum on crease.

Using the same brush, apply Black Tulip on outer V. Blend with the 224 brush.
