Pinks and Purples Using MAC Colour 3 Quad and Blooming Lovely Lipstick

Here is another pink and purple look from my favorite purple quad, MAC Colour 3 quad from the MAC Spring Colour Forecast. I used the darker hues as crease and outer V colors for this look.



For the main lid color, I used my favorite Aromaleigh eyeshadow (yes, I love this so much that I think out of the hundreds of Aromaleigh eyeshadows I own, this is the one I love the most). It's the now-discontinued eyeshadow from the Valentine 2009 collection called Soul Mate. How I love this shadow! I've used this in many of my EOTDs and it never fails to amaze me. It gives this soft but shimmery pink shade that is eye-catching and really opens up the peepers. I'm so sad this has been discontinued! But good thing I was able to score one from Aromaleigh's "garage-sale" of discontinued items.



I also used my beautiful mineralize blush duo in Two Virtues from Too Fabulous collection for this look. Lovely purple pink color!



I used my greyish pink lipstick with purple undertones, Blooming Lovely from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection. It's cool-toned, so I had to wear a warmer lipliner to balance the undertones. I love it though - very creamy and pigmented.



I used English Accents on top of Blooming Lovely. Here's how they look like together:



Here's a step-by-step. All eye products MAC unless otherwise stated.


Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Fresco Rose paint pot on lid.


Using a stiff shader brush like the 239, apply Aromaleigh Soul Mate on lid foiled on the lid using Charged Water (use a slightly damp brush).


Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Bruised Plum on crease.


Using the same brush, apply Black Tulip on outer V. Blend with the 224 brush.

MAC Too Fabulous: Cremesheen and Mineralize Blush Duo Swatches and Reviews

It's the perfect time to launch the new cremesheen glass collection as it is getting warmer, and it's always good to dress down the lips and wear something airy and light in time for sprng. I was able to play with the colors of this collection last week. I'm pretty glad that the MAC Powers That Be decided to make cremesheen glasses permanent. Dazzleglasses and lipglasses have their own fanbase, but there are also many people that like the cremesheen glasses. They are softly luscious, not sticky compared to the lipglasses, and not glittery like the dazzleglasses. They have subtle shimmer that is not too in-your-face but still give a luscious look to the puckers.





I have Fashion Scoop from the previous Cremesheen releases and it's a pale cool baby pink with light pearl that goes well with all of my pink and lavender lippies. For some reason Ever So Rich has not been repromoted but I really like its lilac shade.

Just Superb is a dirty neutral pink that is nice as an everyday gloss. Boy Bait is a light neutral beige with pearl that has been repromoted and like the rest of the cremesheen glasses in this collection, will be part of the permanent collection. That is good news since this was one of the more popular cremesheen shades.

Partial to Pink is a light creamy yellow pink with light gold pearl that is also a nice neutral color; great for spring and summer. Deelight is very pretty, a mid-tone neutral that I believe would suit my complexion. Double Dare is a sexy coral red, while Richer, Lusher is a coral peach. Loud & Lovely is a blue-based pink which would probably suit fair and light complexions, and Over Indulgence is a neutral brown.

The downside that I can see is that the lighter colors are all very similar to each other. There is only one bright color which is Double Dare. This collection might disappoint people who are looking forward to more color-infused, vibrant cremesheen glasses. If you are a nude lipgloss girl, however, you will love the permanent selection of the cremesheen glasses.
