2. Fill up the Contest Machine entry form below, include your name and e-mail address. You should state in the entry form that you are a subscriber or follower of The Shades Of U via one of the following:

b. Twitter (include Twitter ID)
c. E-mail subscription (include email address)

3. HOW TO SUBMIT EXTRA ENTRIES:

The winner shall respond with his/her mailing address within seventy-two (72) hours of the delivery of the notification e-mail; otherwise, the entry shall be disqualified and another winner shall be chosen. Thus, this is also the reason why entrants should subscribe to this blog to be promptly notified of the winner's name just in case the notification e-mail does not go through or goes to the spam inbox.
8. The Shades Of U will ship the prize package to anywhere in the world via First Class mail. If the winner is a U.S. Resident, the prize shall be sent with delivery confirmation. If the winner resides outside of the U.S., the prize shall be sent to the international winner using First Class international mail with no tracking number. However, the postal receipt shall be kept as evidence of shipment. Once Upon a Time Metallic vanilla (Veluxe Pearl), A Dashing Lassie Metallic milk (Frost), Magical Mist Metallic taupe (Lustre)
Bronze Copper penny (Frost), Buckwheat Frosty medium brown (Frost), Showstopper Dark brown (Matte)
Here is a neutral look using one of my favorite palettes for the holidays, MAC 6 Dashing Lassie eyeshadow palette from the A Tartan Tale collection. Ironically, even though I bought this palette because I fell in love with Magical Mist, I didn't use that shade for this look because I felt it was a bit too cool for the look that I was going for.
Here is a step by step. All eye products MAC unless otherwise stated.
Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Sin all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Coral Crepe paint pot on lid.
Using a stiff shader brush, apply A Dashing Lassie on lid.
Using Charm Pro tapered blending brush (MAC 222 dupe) blender brush, apply Bronze on outer V and crease.

Here are some of the product pictures I took that I have not posted yet. Usually, I am not too impressed with MAC Holiday packaging but this time, I find the bags and the tin cases really of good quality. The bags are the kind I would really use and not tucked in a drawer to languish. The lip and eye palettes are covered in real fuzzy and soft plaid fabric that feels luxurious.

As I had mentioned in a previous post, I went to the MAC A Tartan Tale Preview/Unveiling Event at my neighborhood MAC store, but only the lip, face, brush and eye kits, as well as colour collection, were available at the preview. The second wave of the collection (pigment, lipglass, nail lacquer sets) will be available in a couple of weeks. However, I was able to play with some of these mini-sets, and here are some swatches and my thoughts on them.

MAC Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Preview Event

I was invited to preview the MAC Holiday 2010 collection A Tartan Tale at the free-standing store in Scottsdale. Only the colour collection, eyeshadow palettes, lip, face, and brush kits are available. The second wave of the collection (pigment, lipglass, nail lacquer sets) will be available in a couple of weeks. However, you can see the pigment, lipglass and nail lacquer sets in the above photo. I will be swatching them pretty soon.
For now, enjoy these pictures! The theme of course is everything Tartan - plaids, kilts, and Scottish music abound.
