The FTC recently came out with regulations concerning product endorsements. My blog's disclosure is nothing fancy or complicated, really. This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me.  Like any beauty blog that has been around for a while and has substantial readership, a number of companies has offered product samples for my review. I have accepted product samples and still accept them up to this day, but this practice does not in any way influence my opinion on the application or performance of the product. Let me repeat: The product received specifically for review will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog.


Moreover, all my reviews on this blog reflect my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experience on the product I review. Keep in mind that each individual's skin reacts differently to a certain kind of skincare product or makeup, so it is always best to take each review with a grain of salt and to try the product for yourself. However, as regards to MY own experience with the product, they were honestly described in each and every review I create and publish on The Shades Of U.


The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owner's. I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my experience, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.


Many times, however, being a beauty junkie myself, I buy the products I feature on this blog with my hard-earned money. I like to test the products and feature them as I deem fit. I will also clearly state in every review if these products were bought by me.

The Shades Of U sometimes uses affiliate links.  A small commission is earned when a product is purchased via such link, which helps support the site, but does not affect the integrity of our reviews. The Shades Of U has a contract with Glam Network which runs The Shades Of U's ads. All advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network, or text link ads. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements. 

Privacy Policy
There are some applications being used by The Shades Of U that includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends and administer the site, but these do not divulge any of the readers' personal identity or information on such.  If you subscribe to The Shades Of U via e-mail, your e-mail address is recorded by the feedburner service.  However, The Shades Of U will never maintain a database of your contact information, nor will we ever sell or distribute your contact information.

We allow third-party companies to serve ads and/or collect certain anonymous information when you visit our Web site. These companies may use non-personally identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) during your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you.
