Layered Polish: Barielle in Myrza's Meadow with Candeo Colors in Sprouse

Remember this manicure two and a half years ago? It was my birthday manicure and I loved it. It's called Myrza's Meadow by Barielle. I love the light green with silver micro glitter. I loved that the glitter was very small and generally unobtrusive. I loved it so much that I even did a couple of nail art with it:

Well those were two years ago. I revisited Myrza's Meadow and after two years, I was surprised by how thick in consistency it became. Most of my other 2-year old polishes like OPI and China Glaze still have perfect consistency. I had to add at least 20 drops of nail thinner to make the consistency a bit decent, but it was still thick.

This time, I added a black and white glitter polish from Candeo Colors (an indie store) called Sprouse. It's a pretty clear base so the black and white glitter really stand out from the light green background:






I still like Barielle Myrza's Meadow even though it's still thick in consistency, mainly because I absolutely love the color and the shimmery micro-glitter.

Nail Polish Layering: White Glitter Over Zoya Evvie

I have been wearing this nail look for a few days now, so it's not as fresh as I would have liked it to look, but here's just a sneak peek of Zoya's polish called Evvie from its Fall collection called Designer.  It is described as an evergreen green cream and shade created by Peter Som. it's a very pretty dark grey cream that looks posh yet edgy at the same time. I layered a white glitter top coat called White Wedding with white glitters in heart, diamond, square, hex and bar shapes. I got this polish from an indie nail polish store on Etsy called Candy Lacquer.

Nail Combo Look: Zoya Nail Polish in Wednesday and Jesse's Girl in Firefly

Here's a nail polish combination that I am currently loving. The base color is Zoya polish in Wednesday, a gorgeous dusty turquoise cream that is rich and opaque. Wednesday is from Zoya's new Beach collection. I am loving the fun, summery candy-colored hues of Zoya Beach. I wanted it to be a bit on the sparkly underwater kind of finish, so I applied Jesse's Girl nail color in Firefly. It is a shimmer base with gorgeous iridescent gold micro shimmer. When applied over nail polish especially a cream one, it morphs into this amazing shimmer burst with tons of iridescent gold sheen. I think this nail polish combination is gorgeous. Truly very fresh and summery!

Konad Nail Art: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in MILF

Funny name eh?  Very - hot momma-ish! lol!  Here's a spring nail look using Illamasqua Nail Varnish in MILF. It is a pretty vintage mint green that looks great with a lot of spring outfits. I am loving greens right now, so this is right up my alley. I used XL image plate B:



I used Konad special polish in Green. I added 2mm rhinestones in emerald green.

I usually love Illamasqua nail varnish formula- very smooth, easy to apply and blend. However, Milf was a tad thick, so I added a few drops of thinner, then it applied like a dream from then on. Loveleeeh!

Nail Stamp Art Using China Glaze Nail Polish in L8R G8R

Holo polishes are all the rage nowadays. L8R G8R is from the OMG collection of late 2008, but this kind of holo is one of the very few ones that are linear holos - those that form lines vertically and give a rainbow effect along those lines. You can see the lines and the rainbow quite clearly in my photos. It is a beautiful lime green holo, and this kind of holo is the last of a dying breed - unless brands wake up and see how profitable it would be to come up with a collection of these vertical rainbow holos.

I used m69 image plate and Konad princess polish in Green. I added a small pearl in the middle of each nail as an accent. I really like this mani, one of my favorites. The holo is very distracting, it gets my attention every time. :D

Konad Nail Art: Zoya Matte Velvet in Veruschka

Okay, the finish doesn't look matte at all because I applied Konad top coat over the design to seal the image. I love the overall effect, though. I am not a matte polish fan. I tried to apply Veruschka and wear it by itself, and even though it is a beautiful deep hunter green, I couldn't make myself wear it because - I couldn't stand matte. I then applied the full nail image from the m70 image plate using this really cool mint green Special Polish from Konad. This was my first time to try the mint green polish and I loved the contrast against the dark bottle green background.

Veruschka is a pretty color, but sad to say, matte is really not my cup of tea. I will probably use this but I will always layer a nice shiny top coat over it.
