Summer Nail Look: China Glaze OMG Nail Polish in TMI

As I had mentioned in a previous post, I was amazed to find an OMG collection from China Glaze tucked along with some really dusty collections on a top shelf in a beauty supply store, languishing all alone as it was the last one available. It was waiting for me all this time!! And I paid dirt-cheap for this set. I really love the thrill of the hunt.

Here is one of my favorites from the OMG collection, TMI. It is summer so it's perfect to wear out on the beach or in the park, just where sunlight can hit it to show off its holo-y goodness:

It's a beautiful coral holo that looks breathtaking in direct sunlight. Don't drive while you're wearing this, you can get too distracted!

Here's another one of my purple holos that I snagged a few weeks ago- 2nite. It is from the much-coveted OMG collection of China Glaze. I snagged a number of OMGs from 2009, but I found this particular one at my neighborhood nail supply store a few weeks ago, and it's amazing that it was still available as the price for this is quite steep on eBay. Say no to those ebay scalpers! Just scour your neighborhood dusties and you will get your hard-to-find polishes.

Look at my awesome find at one of my neighborhood nail supply stores:

I am amazed with my lucky find because it was tucked along with some really dusty collections on a top shelf, languishing all alone as it was the last one available. It was waiting for me all this time!! And I paid dirt-cheap for this set. I really love the thrill of the hunt.

Anyways, I adorned the beautiful 2nite with a delicate flower image from the m4 image plate using the Konad special polish in White. I also added a cobalt rhinestone for some oomph. One of my favorite manicures; spring-y, light and airy.

Nail Stamp Art Using China Glaze Nail Polish in L8R G8R

Holo polishes are all the rage nowadays. L8R G8R is from the OMG collection of late 2008, but this kind of holo is one of the very few ones that are linear holos - those that form lines vertically and give a rainbow effect along those lines. You can see the lines and the rainbow quite clearly in my photos. It is a beautiful lime green holo, and this kind of holo is the last of a dying breed - unless brands wake up and see how profitable it would be to come up with a collection of these vertical rainbow holos.

I used m69 image plate and Konad princess polish in Green. I added a small pearl in the middle of each nail as an accent. I really like this mani, one of my favorites. The holo is very distracting, it gets my attention every time. :D

My Nail Polish Haul: China Glaze, Orly, Mia Secret Crackles, and Two Different Kinds of OPI Not Like the Movies

Here are some hauls I did from last week. It's fun to shop at hole-in-the-wall nail polish stores and get some of the most coveted nail polish for a third or a quarter of the retail price!

I also got some stuff from 8ty8beauty.com, mostly China Glaze Khromes that I will use for Konad-ing. We all know that chrome polish works exceptionally well with Konad.

8ty8 haul: China Glaze 2030, China Glaze Hi-tek, China Glaze Millenium, China Glaze Robotica, Orly Belle of the Ball and Rio Nights
I bought these online on Thursday and it got to me last Saturday!! Wow very fast shipping 8ty8!

I went to 3 nail polish supply stores last weekend and here's what I got:

China Glaze LOL, GR8, FYI, BFF, L8R G8R, DV8, TTYL x2, 2NITE, Tickle my Triangle, Let's Do it in 3D, Visit me in Prism, Sci-Fi (Got these for $2.75 each)

These are amazing holo polishes that I can't wait to play with.

I got two OPI Not Like the Movies (from the Katy Perry collection) from two different stores. Good thing I bought another one! They look COMPLETELY different!! If you don't know about this yet, the first batch was the beautiful, duo chromey goodness that is the original Not Like the Movies (right). Then OPI decided to change it to a silvery glittery mess without any duochrome whatsoever, or if there is, it's very minimal (left). Boo!!

I also got these Mia Secret Crackle polish for $3.50 each I think. I will try and see if these are like the OPI Shatter or China Glaze Crackles.

Swatches and nail looks using these will be up soon!
