MAC Fall Event 2011: Posh Paradise, Styledriven, Art of Powder, Fall Colour Collection 2011

I went to the MAC Fall event at the Biltmore last Tuesday, and just as expected, they showcased several collections for this fall, mainly Posh Paradise, Styledriven, Art of Powder, Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15 and MAC Fall Colour Collection 2011. I will be posting some pictures from the event, but swatches will be posted with my separate collection entries/reviews. It was a fun event, even though the place wasn't as jampacked at let's say Tartan Tale, Venomous Villains or Hello Kitty (the most gigantic crowd I've ever seen inside a MAC store - and beyond).

I've had the chance to try out the new Pro Longwear Eye Shadows from MAC Styledriven collection. These are sixteen huge eye shadows that have a wide variety of shades and colors that have either the Frost or Satin finish. I have six of these shades, but I will be swatching the rest tomorrow night. Stay tuned for an update on the swatches soon.

My favorites from the one I have are Pink Frontier, which is a soft golden pink frost, and Legendary Black, a warm almost (but not quite) black in the satin formula. Pink Frontier reminds me of a less metallic and lighter Goldenaire pigment, while Legendary Black reminds me of Hocus Pocus from the Bloggers' Obsessions collection. Fresh Flare is another pretty one, a bright kelly green frost. Plush is a vivid purple satin, and Thru the Night is a beautiful navy blue with some cobalt flecks when light hits it. Tease With Ease is a bright fuchsia frost.

I tried this last weekend with a blend of Fresh Flare and Legendary Black on the crease. That said, they are pigmented but you do need the extra effort to pick up product and pack them on the lids. They do last a while on the lids, but I didn't see a difference in the longevity of these eye shadows compared to my shadows from the regular MAC line. The shadows stayed crease-free after 9 hours (I decided to wash them off around that time). I like the bigger pots, just like the Mega Metal eye shadows.
