Pink and Red Look Using Aromaleigh Mineral Shadows

I did this look two weeks ago, but it's only now that I'm posting it, so pardon me if I forget some of the products I used. Iseered is a really bright, fiery red, but you can definitely tone it down by applying it dry and mixing it with neutral colors, like what I did in this case.




I also used MAC's Inter-view mineralize eyeshadow trio for this look.


I used Tanzanite gel liner for the upper lashline.


I used Estee Lauder Midnight Rose lipstick.

All products Aromaleigh unless otherwise stated.


Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over lid, brows, lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply MAC paint pot in Fresco Rose on lid. Using a stiff shader brush (MAC 239 or Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop 3/8", apply Kiki dry on inner lid.


Using the same brush, Apply Iseered on outer V and crease. Blend with the 224 brush.


Like so.


Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Cascade dry on the outer lid.




Blend with the 224. Using Stila Brush No. 5, apply MAC eyeshadow in Vex to highlight the browbone.


Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply a little bit of MAC Inter-View mineralize shadow (dark brown side) on the crease and outer V to blend with Cascade. Blend colors together using the 224.


Apply Indelible gel liner in Tanzanite on upper lashline.


Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero to tightline and on waterline. Apply mascara. Apply Kiki on inner lower lashline and Cascade on outer lower lashline using the Sonia Kashuk mini detail brush.

Strawberry Lemonade Look Using Aromaleigh L'Orchidee Mineral Eyeshadows

I'd received the limited edition L'orchidee eye shadow collection from Aromaleigh more than two weeks ago, but this is the first time I made a look using these shadows. I love how versatile these are. They can be as vibrant as you want them to be if you foil them. If you want subtle, wearable shades during the day even with the burst of color, apply them dry as I did in this look.


I used Indelible gel liner in Black Cherry to line.

Here's a step by step illustration. All products Aromaleigh unless otherwise noted.


Apply MAC Butternutty shadestick all over lid, brows, lower lashline. Apply MAC paint pots in Greenstroke on inner lid, and Fresco Rose on outer lid.


Using a stiff shader brush (MAC 239 or Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop 3/8", apply Bumblebee dry on inner lid.


Using another stiff shader brush, apply Showy dry on mid to outer lid.




Using the same brush, apply Heart dry on outer V and crease.


Using the same brush, apply Bouganvillea dry on outer lid and crease. Blend with a fluffy-stiff blender brush like the MAC 217.


Apply Indelible gel liner in Black Cherry on upper lashline. Apply Bumblebee dry with a taklon liner brush on inner to mid-lower lashline, and Heart on outer lower lashline.


Apply a shimmery pink eyeshadow on browbone to higlight using Stila No. 5 brush. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero to tightline and on waterline. Apply mascara.

Pastels Using Aromaleigh Opulent Lustres

Here's a simple (no falsies!) look using my Aromaleigh Opulent Lustre shadows. This was the first time I tried them, and just like their cousins, the Elemental Lustres (also from Aromaleigh), these are best applied dry, because they are uber-metallic and would look over-the-top when foiled. However, it was Amarante from the Bete Noire collection that pulled the look together. Having used very shimmery products, I applied the matte shadow in the Coastal Scents 28 Piece Neutral Palette to highlight the browbone. All products Aromaleigh unless otherwise stated.


Apply MAC Soft Ochre paint pot over lid, brows, and apply UD Primer Potion on lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply MAC Cash Flow paint pot on lid.




Apply Gingko dry on inner half of the lid including the inner corners using a stiff shader brush (Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop 3/8"). Use quick, patting motions when applying the shadow.


Using the other side of the same brush, apply Dragonfly dry on mid to outer lid, blending into Gingko.


Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Amarante on the outer lid.


Apply more Amarante on the outer V and crease using a fluffy shader brush. Using the same brush, apply Tapestry on the outer V and crease, blending everthing using the MAC 224 brush.


Using Stila No. 5 brush, apply Shadow B from Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette (see pic above) on the browbone. Using Sonia Kashuk mini-contour/detail brush, apply Dragonfly on inner to mid-lower lashline, and Amarante on outer lower lashline. Line eyes using Indelible gel liner in Endangered. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero on waterline and tightline. Apply mascara.

MAC McQueen: Look and Loot (Part II)

Here's a look featuring the McQueen Pharaoh paint pot and Pagan eyeshadow. The latter does remind me so much of Bitter and Overgrown shadows, and it is also similar to Chartreuse pigment, so if you have these, Pagan is not really a must-have. Pharaoh, on the other hand, is beautiful under any green shadow. I also used my favorite Indelible gel liner in Endangered. I am really so in love with it, just as I was in love with my MAC Shade fluidline which unfortunately dried up (I think I got an old formula of the fluidline because my newer fluidlines haven't dried up on me yet). I also used my New Vegas mineralize skinfinish and it just gives a subtle golden glow. I used it on top of my blush and it's pretty subtle enough to be used during the day. I also featured a mix of Dayna's foundation in PN and P1 (70-30 mix). I think this suits my autumn skintone better.

When I got my McQueen loot, I didn't know that there were actually three paint pots from this collection. I had to go back and get the other one called Other Worldly, and it would look gorgeous as a base for any teal or blue look. I also tried Masque lipstick and I almost passed up on it because I wasn't used to those dirty-rose/pale lip look. I had to tell myself to get out of the box so I just grabbed it. I'm glad I got Masque because it is the perfect lip look to go with strong/vivid eye colors. It is perfect with White Magic lipglass from the same collection.

A Couple of Neutral Looks

Been dying to go back to my beloved neutral looks after piling on color the past few days. My favorite mineral shadow for my neutral looks is Valerie Beauty's Miranda shade. I super love this color foiled on the lid with a darker shadow on the crease, and Graphic Brown fluidline on the upper lashline. Since Miranda is a multi-purpose shade, it also looks gorgeous applied on the center of your lower lip for a plump, luscious lip look. You can literally bring this look anytime, anywhere, and since you're basically using just three eye colors, it's also a cinch to apply.

Lips:

I was itching to try some of my minerals so I used a couple for this look. I used my Fyrinnae shadow in Kimchi foiled on the lid. It's not shimmery like Miranda, and it is in fact very pigmented, and is mostly matte in texture. It was therefore kinda hard to blend when it dried, so that was a downside. I guess next time I should use it dry with the shadestick underneath for maximum adherence and color pay-off. I also used my favorite Lumiere shadow in Dark Plum over MAD Minerals' new eyeshadow shade, Black Cherry. The latter was uber-pigmented. I under-estimated its color pay-off and packed it on the crease; I had to really blend it well to avoid looking like I bruised my eye. Finally, I used my favorite MAC mineralize skinfinish in So Ceylon. The pictures don't really show the gorgeous color of the skinfinish because I applied it really light.
