Soft Pinks, Lilacs and Browns Using MAC and Aromaleigh

I did this look quickly so I didn't have time for a step-by-step illustration. I wore my MAC Lavender Whip cremesheen lipstick. I love, love, love it. It's the perfect lilac/lavender on my lips and as I said in the previous entry, I love purple-based lipsticks. I also wore for the first time Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Rouge in Candy-O and it is a beautiful cotton candy pink! I used Aromaleigh's fibre optic blush brush and just tapped a very small amount of product on a swirly bowl, dipped my brush into it, tapped excess, and applied on my cheeks with a very light hand. It is so pretty! It was very bright, so I buffed it well into the skin and applied a light dusting of Dayna's Glow #2 on top, and the effect is an ethereal pink to me.

I also got the Hello Kitty pigments and I used Milk for this look. Some people say this is identical to Helium or Kitschmas. I have both and they're different from Milk. Milk is a little better in texture, and I love the grayish pink undertones. I also love Deep Blue Green! It's such a gorgeous color as a liner or to smokify eyes.

MAC Strobe and She Space Pigments

I tried some of the products from the MAC Strobe collection, specifically the tinted lip conditioners, and I was surprised myself when I realized I actually like them. I was never a fan of MAC's tinted lip conditioners, preferring other chapsticks or lip balms, but these products are really good at keeping your lips luscious, soft and well-moisturized. You can even wear them on their own for those no-fuss days because they give the subtlest glimmer of color, although on my slightly pigmented lips, Strobe Rays and especially Strobe Blossom hardly show up, except if I really pack them on. Strobe Current is a favorite because it gives this natural, just-bitten lips on me. I love the fresh, sweet vanilla flavor, and how it instantly softens and moisturizes the lips. I like it as a base for all my lip products, and for those carefree days, I even wear them on their own.

If you like really pigmented lips, though, this product is not for you, but this really preps the lips for the application of more pigmented products like lipsticks and glosses.

A couple of weeks ago, I received my latest batch of Color Fest pigments from The She Space. These new ones are a little different from my past purchases as these ones are VERY pigmented. I swatched them using a slightly dampened brush and MAC Soft Ochre paint pot as a base, and were the swatches dark! I believe The She Space is improving in its formulation as I can now use their pigments dry instead of foiled all the time, and still achieve good color pay-off. I can't wait to try these out, this time applied dry.

I love Institution, You're So Right, Doubt the Desires and The Happy Hero, although my favorite is Institution. I love the copper-bronze nuances of this color, and would look great with neutral as well as bolder pigments.
