MAC has come up with nail transforming nail lacquers that change the look and finish of your nail lacquers.  These are for nail polish junkies like me who get bored easily with their nail looks.  Each transforming nail lacquer has a different kind of pearl, finish or liquid pigment to change the way a nail polish looks.

I will feature four of these nail transforming lacquers in this post.  I like the ones I am wearing because they don't exactly change the color of the base, but they morph the base into a shimmery but ethereal finish, mainly because of the shifts in the liquid pigment.

Here are the four nail lacquers that transform the finish into a glossy look with flashes of subtle color.

Essie Mint Candy Apple Stamped Using DRK XL Designer 1 Nail Plate

I was able to purchase some of the nail stamping plates that I've been eyeing, both on the Moyou London and the DRKnails.com websites. I was able to purchase 5 Moyou London plates and the amazing DRK XL Designer 1 nail plate. It's DRK Nails' first "buffet-style" XL stamping plate where all designs are incorporated into one big image. You can choose which part of the design you want to use and go for it. I will include clearer pictures of the DRK XL Designer 1 plate in this post later, but for now, here's what I came up with using the flower images in the plate.

In this design, I used the cult favorite Mint Candy Apple from Essie. I've owned this polish for 3 years now, but it had been languishing in my Helmer for years. I tried it again and I'm just amazed with the formula! Even after all these years, it still glided well on the nails, it did not thicken or become goopy over time. It was really a joy to apply.

I used Cult Nails nail lacquer in You're My Dandy Lion on the accent nail and threw in some nail jewels. I love this yellow from Cult Nails. It has a slight shimmer that is very pretty, and the color itself is bright without being obnoxious.

I stamped using my DRK XL Designer 1 nail plate and China Glaze chrome nail lacquer in Millenium. All in all, I am liking this mani. I know fall is almost here, but I can't let go of my summery nail polishes just yet!

China Glaze Off Shore Collection Swatches, Review Part 1

I was able to try most of the nail polishes from the China Glaze Off Shore Collection. Half of the collection were sent to me for review, and the rest except one were bought by me.
I just love summer brights and warm weather hues, and since it is still scorching hot and in the middle of summer here in Arizona, I'd say it's not too late to post about these.

Here is Part 1 of my China Glaze Off Shore Collection Swatches, and my thoughts on these.

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin

China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin is a beautiful sunshine yellow. I used to not like yellow nail polish, but it has grown on me over the years. Like most yellow polishes, this looks streaky on the first coat, but it evens out in the second and third coats.

China Glaze Feel the Breeze

China Glaze Feel the Breeze is a yellow-toned pink. It's light but it looks quite bright and cheerful on my nails.

China Glaze Be More Pacific

China Glaze Be More Pacific is honestly one of my best highlighter green neon polishes. It is not super retina-searing like other neon greens, but this applies really nicely and the formula is better than most neon polishes I've tried.

China Glaze Shore Enuff

China Glaze Shore Enuff is probably my favorite out of this collection. I've never seen a nicer-looking bright grass green cream with really good formula. It glides nicely on the nail and is just a dream to apply. It's also so easy to apply nail stamp art over it, as you can see in the photo above.

China Glaze If In Doubt, Surf It Out

China Glaze If In Doubt, Surf It Out is a nice light orange. It's not my favorite as it looks muddy on my nails, but like most of the polishes from this collection, its formula is really good.

I just have to say that I am really loving the shades and formula of the nail polishes from this collection. They are bright and eye-catching, but these traits do not affect the formula at all. In fact, I think that despite the bright and neon shades, the formula is just as nice or even nicer than China Glaze's regular nail polishes. I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite summer nail polish collections. I also did not need to apply a white base underneath these polishes for the colors to pop.

Fall is almost here!  As much as I love wearing neon and bright and pastel colors that herald spring and summer, I miss wearing dark, neutral, vampy shades that all scream fall and winter.  I've posted swatches of the first Zoya Naturel collection that came out late last year, but this time, Zoya comes up with more varied shades of browns, berries and dark chocolate brown to celebrate the coming of cooler weather.

Here are my swatches of the Zoya Naturel Deux (2) collection, and my thoughts on them.
