I've tried several MAC concealers and this one is a new offering called Mineralize Concealer. It was launched with the newly-designed Mineralize Foundation/Loose, and these products are now part of the permanent line.

The packaging is a lot better than the Pro Longwear concealer which came in a miniature pump. It comes in a new sleek rubberized cap in a lipglass-like tube but with a brush instead of a doe-foot sponge applicator. In that sense, I feel that the packaging of the Select Moisturecover Concealers that came out in the Mickey Contractor collection is better since I prefer sponge applicators for concealers. Nonetheless, the brush applicator does its job, it boils down really to a matter of preference.

The NW25 is perfect for my undereye area as it is a little salmon-y in color, and thus is a great way to camouflage dark undereye circles. I am a typically an NC30, so I mix NC20 and NC42 to achieve a yellow-based concealer that works best with my skintone.

As you can see in the swatches, the product is very creamy and yet not runny. It has moisture in it that hydrates the skin and does not settle into fine lines. It has buildable coverage and is generally a good concealer.

I use NW25 on my undereye area and a blend of NC20 and NC42 for blemishes and dark spots, and the red areas around my nostrils. They work great over my foundation, whether mineral, cream or liquid.

I still like my Pro Longwear concealer better than the Mineralize Concealer, just because the former has more coverage. Nonetheless, the Mineralize Concealer has good buildable coverage and is seamless over or under makeup.
