Pinks and Purples Using MAC Spring Colour Forecast Colour 3 Quad

Here is a pink and purple look using the purple quad from MAC Spring Colour Forecast. Since I love purples, this quad is a must-have for me. I always like to pair pinks and purples as I feel the combination is quite feminine and easy on the eyes.

My MAC pink and purple palette 1

Since this is a pink look, I added Swish on the inner lid to emphasize the contrast between pink and purple. I also used Almond Icing to highlight the browbone.

In order to show that VintageGrape blush ombre does not give you a bruised look, I applied this blush for this look. I like this better than Azalea Bloom because it is deeper and shows up better on my warm skin. I applied this using a duo-fibre angled blush brush so I don't end up having too much pigment on the cheeks.

Aaah! I am so in love with my new True Babe lipglass from the MAC Riveting collection! I seldom wear lipglasses on their own. I always wear them on top of lipsticks because I feel they are not pigmented or lasting enough, but True Babe is an entirely different story!! It is so pigmented that the blue based pink really shone through! And I thought I couldn't pull this off because it is too "cool" for my skintone, but I actually like the effect.

Here is a semi-step-by-step look. For some reason, my camera again deleted the first few steps of the tutorial. I hope you would still get the flow, though! All eye products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Urban Decay primer potion all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Using a fluffy shader brush, apply Fresco Rose paint pot on lid. Using a stiff shader brush like the 239, apply Swish on lid using patting motions. Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Bruised Plum on crease. Using the same brush, apply Black Tulip on outer V. Blend with the 224 brush.

Like so.

Using the same Sonia Kashuk brush, apply Jungle Moon on crease, blending with the other colors. Blend using the 224 brush.

Using the same brush (after wiping down on a clean towel), apply Bruised Plum lightly to blend the colors together. Using Stila No. 5 brush, apply Almond Icing on browbone. Apply a little bit of Swish on inner lid using the stiff shader brush.

Line eyes using L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner (brush tip).

Rim eyes (waterline and tightline) using Engraved power point pencil. Using Sonia Kashuk mini detail brush, apply Swish on inner lower lashline and Jungle Moon on outer lower lashline. Apply Ardell falsies #110. Apply mascara.

I love this quad so much <33
vintage grape looks amazing on you! What are your thoughts on azalea blossom? I haven't seen it in person (since I was on budget and trying to narrow down), just ended up getting vintage grape and ripe peach online, and I'm slowly starting to build a lemming for it LOL. TIA!

Phyrra- thank you. Like you, I love purples!

Mary and Blusherine- thanks dears!

Adelina and Therese- I agree, Spring Colour Forecast is really great for the upcoming season, with 4 different color palettes to choose from.

Askmewhats- thanks girly! And yes, Swish is one of only two of the MAC shadows I've hit pan of. =)

Anonymous- I have not tried azalea blossom yet, but I will be making a look using it pretty soon. It gives a light, sort of ethereal shimmer to the skin, so the jury is still out on Azalea Blossom. =D
