Silk Naturals Organic Lip Glosses and Lip Swatches

Many of you would probably know that I love MAC lipsticks, but I am also a fan of organic lip glosses. Silk Naturals has these Kisser Slickers that I've been using for over a year now, and I still love them. These act like my tinted lip balms that I wear alone or under my MAC lipsticks or lipglasses. These are staples in my makeup kit because I use these for touch-ups after a meal (it's also great that I don't need a mirror to apply these babies, especially the lighter ones). I love these so much, especially Birthday Suit - as you can see I bought four Birthday Suits in this order! I have just finished my fourth Birthday Suit lip gloss/lip balm. They are also very gentle on the lips because they contain organic ingredients - organic oils and sweet beeswax. I have sensitive lips, and if I apply something on my lips that they don't agree with, I develop nasty sores on the top and bottom edges of the lips - eww. These Kisser Slickers never do that to my lips - in fact these make the lips moisturized and supple the whole day.

I got two freebie eyeshadows with my order: a full size of Bright eyeshadow (my choice) and a throw-in of Elle shadow sample. I can't wait to try these.

Below are some of the products on the lips. They might look similar in the pics, but their nuances are apparent in real life. This is not the only texture and finish of Silk Naturals lippies. They have shimmers, mattes, wand lip glosses that have the finish of liquid lipsticks, and so on. I just prefer the texture and finish of the Kisser Slicker organic lipglosses because they are very creamy and pigmented - just the way I like my tinted lip balms to be.

Nectar is Silk Naturals' version of Clinique's Black Honey lipstick.

Bliss is not a lip gloss but a lipstick, and thus has a more pigmented, matte texture, but it has pretty good staying power.

great swatches!

I tried to like Birthday Suit, but I just can't get it to look good on me. Skinny Dip gives me more life, and will be buying in batches like you in my next order.

But you make me want to try all the others SN makes. I just may do that!

Crystal- that's too bad, they don't know how MMU-addict-rich PI is! =D

Phyrra- it's one of my faves!

Cheryl- You can probably use them under lippies or glosses because I sometimes use them in that manner. The sheers like Berry Crush (MAC Viva Glam dupe) might look better on you, it's a cult fave I read.

Berry Crush is on my WishList! I do think that will work, as I already have the Viva Glam V. I think I'll try combining Birthday Suit with the Breathless I have (love it!) to deepen it on occasion.

I'm currently shopping again at SN...thanks to you! :)

Hi! Those lippies sure look marvelous on you! Envy!

Can you help me finding the perfect shade for a healthier alternative for my HG Guerlain Kiss Kiss Laque in Sensual Nude. It's the perfect peachy-pink for my lips, only it's a bit too tacky for daily use my boyfriend just won't pucker up unless I erase it off.

I also notice that it's funny how Jaybird shows browner than Birthday Suit on your swatch but appears pinker than Birthday Suit on your lips.

This is a picture of me and my sisters on my grad day for skintone idea. Me and my babysister on the right wore the Sensual Nude. The other wore the red (forgot the name). I'm NC20-25, Light Medium Golden in Lumiere/Creamy BIsque in Lucy Minerals, MUFE HD 125.
