I am a sucker for complexion oils.  My skin is especially dry and flaky these days because I am on a prescription retinoid regimen, but complexion oils help calm the irritation caused by the retinoids, and at the same time, help to make the skin look moisturized and supple when I wake up in the morning.

I will do a separate video or written review on my skincare routine and complexion oils review, but  I can say that using a good moisturizer (and, in my case, I prefer complexion oils right now) is the best tip I can give you.

Below is a video about 5 skincare tips from an aesthetician.   What skincare tip interests you the most?

Many of us are familiar with Kate Somerville's Exfolikate, the brand's cult favorite exfoliating treatment.  Exfolikate by far is Kate Somerville's most popular product, but this brand has a wide array of products and extensive collections that cater to different skin types.

This post is all about the Kate Somerville Age Arrest™anti-aging skincare line.  Age Arrest ™is the firsrt anti-aging collection with Telo-5™Technology based on the Nobel Prize-winning research on the youthful benefits of prolonging the life of telomeres.  As we age, skin cell telomeres shorten and critical youth information is lost.

Kate Somerville's website further expounds on the anti-aging benefits of the Telo-5™Technology.

Age Arrest’s advanced formula, based on telomere research, is proven to effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, increase skin firmness and elasticity, improve the appearance of skin discoloration, and significantly hydrate. Revolutionary Telo-5™ Technology is designed to combat the comprehensive signs of aging and deliver a younger-looking complexion.

Below are two of the products from the Age Arrest™ line that I was able to try, Kate Somerville Age Arrest Anti-Wrinkle Cream and Eye Cream.

Let's start with the Anti-Wrinkle Cream.

Bioelements Skincare Review: Oil Control Mattifier and Absolute Moisture Cream

(Media sample)

As I've mentioned in my Bioelements Vitalization Rich Intensity Body Creme review, I was able to try different products from the Bioelements skincare line.  It targets skin issues according to one's skintype, so it's like a personalized skincare regimen that targets your skin's problem areas.

In this post, I will be focusing on the Oil Control Mattifier and Absolute Moisture Cream, my two favorite products from this line.

This is the last of a series of posts on the Eucerin skincare products.  I've already talked about the Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Lotion in a previous entry, but since this is my holy grail day lotion, let me repeat my review on this:

Eucerin Skin Calming Daily Moisturizing Creme and Daily Replenishing Moisturizing Lotion Review

Here's another installment of my Eucerin review series.  These two products I am focusing on are the calming and replenishing of the bunch.  They are not intense moisturizers- they don't infuse insane amounts of emollients to feed moisture to super-dry skin, but they calm the skin and infuse a dose of moisture just right for daily use.

Let's start with the Eucerin Skin Calming Moisturizing Creme.

Hi guys! This is the first of a series of posts on the Eucerin skin care products. I was given a chance to try out several products from Eucerin. Take note that I'm a big fan of the Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Lotion, but this was the first time that I was able to try a lot of different products from Eucerin. Here are some of my thoughts on the ones that I was able to road test.

Simple Skincare Protecting Light Moisturizer Review and A Chance to Try a Sample

 Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer

Simple Light Moisturizer blended into skin

Warmer days are just around the corner, and I want a product that will nourish my skin, infuse moisture, and yet won't feel heavy or greasy.  I am also very particular about sunscreen in my moisturizer; I will not use a day cream that does not have SPF in it, because I want an all-in-one product that will cut my daily prep time in half.

I was able to try the Simple Light Moisturizer with SPF15.  The concept is great and perfect for my combination skin, especially during the warm and hot spring and summer months.  This product has Pro Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E, which nourish and pamper the skin.  It does not have any artificial perfume or dyes, and best of all, it is oil-free!  It is dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic (will not clog pores).

I particularly like that this does not have any scent at all as I am sensitive to scents.  I also like the fact that it feels light on the skin and does not feel sticky.

Upon application, you will feel that your skin is instantly moisturized, but as you can see in the photos, it does not look greasy at all.  I applied it under makeup and it worked well with my face primer, foundation and other face products.  It made the makeup apply better on the skin (moisturized skin works well with foundations, in my experience), and I know that I have protection from the sun's harmful rays because it has sunscreen.

All in all, I can honestly say that this is a very good spring/summer moisturizer.  It feels light on the skin and is not oily at all, and thus won't make your face look greasy as the day goes by.

Don't just take my word for it, TRY it! Here's a great opportunity for you to try this product. CLICK HERE FOR SAMPLES! The first 500 consumers to opt in will receive their own Protecting Light Moisturizer!
