OPI Hello Kitty Collection Swatches, Review

Press sample

Spring is definitely upon us, and what better way to herald spring than with bright, fresh spring colors!  OPI Hello Kitty truly fits the bill.  I like the darling Hello Kitty caps, and the very girly hues.

Below are my swatches of the OPI Hello Kitty collection, and my thoughts on them.

OPI Five Apples Tall

OPI 5 Apples Tall

OPI 5 Apples Tall is one of my favorites from this collection.  I like the bright, warm, fun red creme.  I used it as my pedicure color for two pedis now, and I absolutely love it.  It really looks so pretty on the nails, both on the tips and toes.

OPI Spoken From The Heart

OPI Spoken From The Heart is a jelly-ish watermelon pink.  I like the soft shade, but I wish it were a cream instead of a jelly, so the color really stands out.

OPI My Twin Mimmy

OPI My Twin Mimmy

OPI My Twin Mimmy is a lovely bright, sunshine yellow.  I don't wear a lot of yellows, but this is going to be one of my favorite accent nail colors this spring and summer.

OPI Small + Cute = <3

OPI Small + Cute = <3 is a beautiful ballerina soft pink creme.  I am not a huge fan of soft pinks, but I was so drawn to this.  I posted this on my Instagram, and a lot of people loved it.  This was a surprise favorite on my part.

OPI Charmmy and Sugar

OPI Charmmy and Sugar

OPI Charmmy and Sugar is a glitter micro shimmer with black glitter.  I wouldn't use it alone but only to spruce up plain light colored nail polish.

OPI Let's Be Friends

OPI Let's Be Friends is a really pretty, very clean looking pinkish white cream!  I really love this one!  It looks truly clean and very professional-looking on the nails.

OPI Kitty White

OPI Kitty White is a white-silver shimmery micro glitter.  As with OPI Charmmy and Sugar, I will only use Kitty White as a topper to use on top of lighter colored cremes.  I am not a fan of it worn alone.

OPI Look at My Bow

OPI Look at My Bow

OPI Look at My Bow is a bright Barbie pink creme.  A bit too bright for every day at work, but still lovely.  This would make a great pedi color.

OPI Starry Eyed For Dear Daniel

OPI Starry Eyed For Dear Daniel

OPI Starry Eyed For Dear Daniel is a fuchsia glitter which can be a glitter topper or worn alone.  Either way, I am not a fan.  Two years ago, I would be all over glitter, but nowadays, I am totally over it.

OPI Super Cute in Pink is a purply pink jelly.  I would've loved this is if it were a creme instead of jelly, but it is still quite pretty.

OPI My Pal Joey is a beautiful bright mid-tone blue creme.  Definitely one of my favorites from this collection.  I love how it's so pigmented and bright, and yet it's not a neon by all means.

OPI Never Have Too Mani Friends

OPI Never Have Too Mani Friends is a nice black creme.  Not unique by any means, but I can always use a black creme to apply as undies for my duochrome polishes or for nail art.

The OPI Hello Kitty collection retails for $10.00 a pop, and is available at leading retail stores such as ULTA.
