Spring is upon us, and I am liking bright, fun blush colors to herald the warmer weather. I also like to play with cream blushes because they look more natural and give this ethereal lit-from-within glow. Many times, though, I still crave for powder blushes because their staying power is definitely unbeatable.
For those who are as fickle-minded as I am when it comes to blushes, Mehron has a solution: the Mehron Cheek Cream & Cheek Powder 8-Color Palette. Sometimes you just want to try different finishes of cheek products to suit your mood for the day. Mehron is a theatrical brand of makeup that caters to the theater and show business industry, but it also creates products for everyday makeup junkies.

As you can see, the colors are very wearable, and you can always buff it into your skin with a buffing or kabuki brush to make the colors look more natural. I especially like the Cheek Powder colors in Rosewood and Wineberry, and Cheek Cream Colors in Tawny Pink and Bronze.
The colors are very pigmented, especially the Cheek Powders, which is understandable coming from a cosmetics brand that specializes in theatrical makeup. However, there are some colors that are quite soft and natural, as well, especially the lighter shades of both the Cheek Cream and Cheer Powder formulas.
All in all, for $40 with eight colors and two formulas to choose from, the Mehron Cheek Cream & Cheek Powder 8-Color Palette is a steal. I like how the colors are pigmented and can be mixed and matched to come up with my own custom color like I did in the two photos above.
