Hi everyone!  Today is all about the OPI Fifty Shades Grey collection, and predictably, OPI features varied shades of grey in this collection.  It has three shades of grey, a silver chrome, a silver glitter, and a red.  Let's get on with the swatches!

OPI Cement the Deal

OPI Cement the Deal

OPI Cement the Deal is a nice dove grey cream.  It is one of my favorite greys from this collection.  Formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

OPI Embrace the Gray is a nice mid-tone grey cream.  I do wonder about the name, though:  The book 50 Shades Of Grey uses "grey" with an "e", so it seemed odd to me that OPI used the word "gray" with an "a" as the name of this polish.  Yeah I know it's a small thing, but it was a bit strange to me.

OPI My Silk Tie

OPI Nail Lacquer My Silk Tie, 0.5 Ounce is a nice chrome.  It's not a very mirror-like chrome, but I like how smooth it is on the nails.

OPI Shine For Me

OPI Shine For Me

OPI Shine For Me is a pretty silver base with light blue, dark blue and black micro-glitter.  I love how vibrant it looks on the nails.  This tends to apply sheer, so you can expect opacity at 3 coats.

OPI Romantically Inclined

OPI Romantically Inclined is my favorite from the collection.  It's just your usual classic red, but a tad deeper.  I am using it as a pedi color, and it's so pretty on the toes.

OPI Dark Side of the Mood

OPI Dark Side of the Mood

OPI Dark Side of the Mood is the darkest grey in the bunch.   It's a charcoal cream that looks really edgy on the nails.  Formula is likewise good and is opaque in two coats.

All in all, the formula of these nail lacquers are classic OPI- very smooth, pigmented, glides like a dream on the nailbeds.  I didn't have any problems with the application, with the exception of OPI My Silk Tie, which is understandable, because chrome polishes tend to be finicky.

My favorites are OPI Cement the Deal, Embrace the Gray and Romantically Involved.  Not my favorite collection from OPI just because I already have lots of similar shades, but the colors are classic and timeless, and formula is fantastic.

The OPI Fifty Shades of Grey collection is limited edition and officially launches in January 2015, OPI is carried in salons and select mass retailers nationwide and online at ULTA.com, SallyBeauty.com and LoxaBeauty.com for $9.50 a pop.
