Glo Minerals Alloy Eyes Eye Shadow Palette: Silver Streak, Universe, Storm, Jet,
Buff, Cappucino, Enigma, Tuxedo

I was able to try an 8-eye shadow palette from Glo Minerals called Alloy Eyes Collection  palette.  It's a palette with neutrals for your everyday eye look, and it also has the dark, smokey shades that are great to create a dramatic eye for a night out in town.

To give a background about this company, Glō∙Minerals offers a mineral makeup system uniquely designed for skincare professionals and their clients. The company has a wide range of award-winning formulations with good coverage, UV and environmental protection and a spectrum of mineral pigments. It is talc-free and non-comedogenic, and offers UVA and UVB sun protection with anti-inflammatory ingredients.

The Glō∙Minerals Alloy Eyes Collection Palette contains all neutral and smoky shades.

Wearing the Glō∙Minerals Alloy Eyes Collection Palette:  Buff and Universe on the lid, Cappuccino and Enigma on the crease, Jet and Tuxedo on outer lid, Jet on lower lashline, Buff to highlight.

Silver Streak is a shimmery silver, Enigma is a taupe shimmer, Storm is a grey shimmer, and Jet is a charcoal shimmer.  The bottom row contains satin/matte shades:  Buff is a satin off-white, Cappuccino is a cool mid-tone brown satin, Enigma is a greyish brown satin, and Jet is a matte black.

I was pretty impressed with the formula of these shadows.  They are not the super-creamy eye shadows that tend to crumble.  These are actually pigmented but not very creamy.  I dropped the palette on the floor and was so scared that the shadows would break, but they were all intact.  Application was a cinch, and the colors are really pretty.

The palette may be a bit pricey for $44 a pop, but since these are all neutrals and smokey shades that you can use every day, I think this is a pretty good value.
