MAC Artificially Wild Collection: Cream Colour Base in Breaking Ground, Shitake lipstick, De Nude lipglass, eye shadows in Marsh and Artificial Earth, blush in Next to Skin

The Artificially Wild collection strikes a chord in me, just because as I get older, gravitate more toward neutrals and earth colors.  I also feel that I look better wearing these kinds of colors.

Here are my swatches and thoughts on the MAC Artificially Wild Collection.

Swatches: MAC Shitake lipstick

MAC De Nude lipglass

MAC Shitake lipstick, De Nude lipglass

MAC Shitake lipstick is a deep brown glaze.  I love this, just because it's been a while since I tried a deep brown lipstick.  I think it complements my warm skintone as well.

MAC De Nude lipglass is a beautiful, dirty golden beige.  I love this a lot, like a more golden version of C-Thru.  In my look below, I applied De Nude lipglass over Shitake lipstick.

MAC Breaking Ground cream colour base

MAC Cream Colour Base in Breaking Ground

MAC Cream Colour Base in Breaking Ground is a unique Cream Colour Base in my collection.  It's a light, iridescent mauve.  I would love to use this as an eye shadow base, but sadly, cream colour bases are notorious for creasing.  You are better off using this to highlight your cheekbones for a nice, radiant finish.

I really am loving these two eye shadows from this collection!  Marsh is a gorgeous soft dirty olive green in the satin formula.  This is amazing as a crease color.  I used this in the look below, and I love how it looks compared to my usual brown crease colors.  Artificial Earth is a soft mauve nude in the satin formula as well.  This would make for a nice lid color, or even a transition color on the crease.

MAC Next to Skin blush

MAC blush in Next to Skin

Out of all the products I have from this collection, the MAC blush in Next to Skin is the one I am not happy about.  It hardly showed up on my skin, and it had this weird greyish cast.  Not a fan.

Wearing MAC Eye Shadows in Marsh and Artificial Earth, MAC lipstick in Shitake and De Nude lipglass, MAC cream colour base in Breaking Ground

All in all, I am loving the neutral shades from this collection.  I especially like the Shitake lipstick, De Nude lipglass, and Marsh and Artificial Earth eye shadows.

The collection launched on September 4, 2014, and it still available at your MAC counters and stores until October 2nd (North America).
