Benjabelle Makeup Brush Tree Mini Review

So remember this:

The Benjabelle Brush Tree made it to my Video Post on November 2012 Beauty Favorites, and it's still one of my favorite beauty gadgets to date.

As I stated in my original Benjabelle Brush Tree Review, the Benjabelle Brush Tree is a plastic makeup brush drying tool that has a tray on top with holes, and two pieces that form into a stand that can be assembled in less than five minutes. It has silicone grippers that can hold brush handles of any size in place. It was specifically designed for makeup brushes that have bigger or "fatter handles" to hold them upside down as they dry after washing. It is important to note that it is better to dry the brushes upside down (or at least not standing up) because you need to keep the moisture away from the ferrules.

In the original brush tree, the holes are fairly large, so they don't really fit the smaller eye shadow and lip brushes snugly. Benjabelle came up with this great idea to create the Original Brush Tree's baby sister for brush handles with smaller diameters; thus, the Benjabelle Brush Tree Mini is born!

As you can see, the Brushtree Mini is just like the original, but it perfectly fits the smaller diameters of eye and lip brushes. I love that I have both so I can use the original for my face brushes, and the Mini for my eyeshadow and eye liner brushes.

For best results, it is important to insert brushes from underneath. When the brushes are dry, just pull the brushes through the top.

To assemble, take the two small pieces that come with the package and slide them together to the "X" shaped trunk of the brush tree. Place the large top on a flat surface and press the trunk into the center slot on top. Voila! Your brush tree is ready to use!

If you have more eye shadow brushes, you can use the available spaces on the top of the tree to dry additional brushes lying down.

As I've mentioned in my review of the Original brush tree, this tree holds the shape of my brushes because gravity helps the bristles to align naturally while turned upside down. The most ingenious part of the tree are the silicone grippers. They hold brush handles of any size and really keep them in place while they dry naturally.

You can buy the Brush Tree Mini at Benjabelle.com for $24.95, or you can buy both the Original and the Mini for $49.95 (save $10!).  I highly suggest that you buy both, so you can have drying tools both for your thicker and thinner-handled makeup brushes!
