Softlips® Lip Protectant Holiday 2012 Twin Packs Review

Softlips® has new holiday packs that are the perfect stocking stuffers for everybody, especially this winter season where lips are always chapped and dry.  I like that Softlips lip balm is not the greasy petroleum-based balm; many women wear rich, dark and matte lip color to celebrate the season, and when I wear matte lipsticks, I make sure that my lip balm is not too greasy because it interferes with the matte texture.  I am glad Softlips works well with my matte and satin lip shades!

Here are some of the holiday packs that I was able to try from Softlips.  Here are my thoughts on them.

The Peppermint Stick flavor is one of my favorites.  It nails the peppermint flavor and the scent really makes me think of Christmas, hot peppermint mocha and opening presents.  I also like the festive red and white packaging.

I was able to try the Softlips Pearl which is part of the Peppermint Stick Holiday twin packs.  It gives a little bit of shine on the lips.  This is my least favorite because, as I said, I prefer my lips to have a matte or satin finish, so the frosty lip look is not for me.

The Raspberry twin pack has a bonus Sugar Plum Berry lip balm.  They both smell like berries, of course.  The Raspberry flavor contains green tea extract which of course is a plus in my book.  It smells nice and texture is great; it's gentle on the skin and preps my lips for the application of lip products.

Jack Frosting is probably my top favorite alongside Peppermint Stick!  It has a really sweet scent that reminds me of sugar frosting, yummm!  I really like this variant and I really wish it's not just a limited edition holiday scent.

Of course, plain old Vanilla is a staple and I like how it's a comforting flavor for me.  It has the sweet scent of vanilla without being too sweet.  Vanilla twin pack includes Winter Mint, a nice minty flavor that gives a cooling sensation on the lips.

All in all, I am liking these little twin packs from Softlips.  These are really great stocking stuffers for less than $5, and everybody needs a good lip balm especially during this cold winter season.  I liked all of the variants and scents, but my favorites would have to be Peppermint Stick and Jack Frosting.  They really herald the coming of the holiday season with their iconic scents and flavors.  The best part is that they have SPF20 which protect our lips from the sun's harmful rays.

The Softlips Vanilla with bonus Winter Mint and Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Cookie are available at Target stores in the holiday season.

The Softlips Vanilla with bonus Sugar & Spice and Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Plum Berry are available at Walgreens and Wegmans.
