MAC Holiday 2012: Glamour Daze Blush, Kohl Power Pencil, Fluidline Swatches, Review

This is the last installment of the MAC Holiday 2012 Glamour Daze colour collection, after which I shall be writing about the Holiday gift sets!  I posted my MAC Holiday 2012: Glamour Daze Lipstick and Lipglass Swatches, Review, as well as MAC Holiday 2012: Glamour Daze Extra Dimension Eye Shadow and Skinfinish Swatches, Review. Now, it's all about the Kohl Powder Eye Pencils, Blush, and a fluidline.

I met these MAC Kohl Power Pencils several years ago when they first came up in the MAC Smoke Signals collection.  I oohed and ahhed over the interesting nuances of the shades.  Here was my first take and swatches of the pencil liners when I first tried them from MAC Smoke Signals:

As you can see, I had all products back during the Smoke Signals collection, but I think I already used up Feline.  Feline is a really intense black with black pearl.  A lot of people like it for the perfect smoky eye, but a lot of people also say that it is quite soft and can migrate if you don't use a good base.  I personally had no problems with Feline because I used to always smudge it anyway for a smoky effect, so I didn't have any problems with "smudging".  However, I can understand the problem if you don't want the product smudged. Setting the liner with black shadow should help fix the problem.

The other shades of these Kohl Power liners from this collection didn't have that smudging problem.  I really like Mystery, and intense black with green pearl, and Orpheus, an intense black with gold pearl.  Raven is an intense black with red pearl.  I like the color combinations and variations as you get the intense pigment of black with another color so it doesn't look all that harsh.

Fluidline:

I am really liking the Little Black Bow fluidline.  First of all, the name is quite cute and perfect for this collection.  Second, I like that it is not a straight black.  It's a charcoal and what MAC calls as "dazzle pearl".  It has tiny micro glitter which is obviously eye safe as it is incorporated in a liner.  The dazzle pearl gives the product an eye-catching, silvery-flecked effect.

Blush:

The blush shades are not particularly unique, but they are pretty.  Easy Manner is a light dirty peach, Small Vanity is a dusty rose tan, and I'm the One is a mid-tone blue pink.  I personally like Small Vanity and I'm the One.  I feel that these are shades I will be using often, although I think I will use a light hand on Small Vanity.

All in all, this is a solid collection mostly because they incorporated my favorite eye shadow finish for 2012, the Extra Dimension.  I also love the Extra Dimension skinfinishes and they really make great highlighters.  I personally like the Kohl Power pencil liners that I've been using since Smoke Signals.  Oh, and Little Black Bow fluidline looks especially pretty on the eyes with neutral shadows.  I would definitely recommend all the Extra Dimension products from this collection, and Little Black Bow fluidline.  Not a huge fan of some of the nail lacquers, but maybe just because I already have similar shades in my stash.  Nail swatches of the Glamour Daze nail lacquers will be up soon!

The MAC Glamour Daze collection is available North America October 25, 2012, International November 2012 at all MAC locations, 1.800.588.0070 and www.maccosmetics.com.
