LORAC PRO Palette Swatches and Review

Let me just say that I've been a fan of LORAC eye shadows for quite a while now.  I have the LORAC Unzipped palette that I have yet to review on this blog, and I love the soft, pigmented, buttery shades.  I've heard a lot of buzz about the LORAC PRO palette, and that it's mostly a neutral palette, but what intrigued me the most is that 8 of the 16 shades are mattes.  We don't see a lot of matte neutrals in a handy matte palette in quite a while.  Therefore, when I saw this, I just knew I had to have it.

As I've mentioned in my ELF Disney Villains Palette and LORAC PRO Palette Video Review, the LORAC PRO is an amazing neutral palette that is very lightweight, handy, and has the perfect mix of shimmers and mattes.  This is especially great for travel because the compact is quite thin and light, and can even fit in most purses.

Now on to the shades.  They are great shades for neutral, bridal, smoky looks.  There are some nice brighter colors in there like Deep Purple, Garnet, Gold and Slate.  I particularly love the mattes because I rarely come across a lot of matte shades in a palette.  Even though they're mattes, they apply smoothly and not chalky on the skin.

I think this is a great palette not just for the regular makeup enthusiast, but also for makeup artists (hence the reason why it's called "Pro").  I believe this is the perfect bridal palette for makeup artists as there are a lot of mattes which are perfect for bridal work.  You can also create a nice smoky eye using the shades in this palette.

As you can see in the swatches, the colors are rich, saturated, pigmented.  I will be coming up with a look/tutorial using this palette so stay tuned!

This palette retails for $42 and is available at ULTA, Sephora and Sephora.com
