Remember the time when I waited with bated breath for the coming of bareMinerals' READY pressed eye shadows? The wait was worth it as the READY pressed shadow was one of the best-received beauty product launches in the past year. The shadows were amazingly buttery, richly pigmented, and last the whole day on the lids. It was also one of the best products of 2011 for me. I wondered when Bare Minerals will convert their loose blush into pressed READY blushes. Well, I didn't have to wait for long.

bareMinerals' READY blush contains proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral™ Complex with antioxidants and cold-pressed camellia oil. It also comes in a wide variety of shades, and I was able to try three of them. I also was able to try one of the three shades of READY Bronzers in Skinny Dip. First, here are some swatches:

Skinny Dip bronzer

I am loving all the shades of blush I got. They are all super silky and finely milled. They don't apply splotchy on the cheeks, and pigmentation is great. I usually use a fluffy tulip-shaped brush and apply the color on the skin using the side of the brush. Aphrodisiac is a lovely peach with golden shimmer. Kinda reminds you of NARS Orgasm, eh? I appreciate the small blush brush with the compact so I can tote it around in my purse for touch-ups. The Faux Pas is a nice blushing carnation pink. It also has a slight shimmer to it which can really prettify the complexion. Indecent Proposal reminds me or NARS Sin, a pretty dusty plum with a slight sheen. These shades are not garish at all but are in fact very wearable and universal; these can suit a wide variety of skintones.

On the other hand, the Skinny Dip bronzer was a little too light for my skintone. I would try the medium tan one called High Dive next time. It has the same silky slip of the blushes, although it lacks the compact blush. It doesn't matter, though, because I like how big the compact is and how much product is in it.

Both these products contain no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial dyes or fragrances and triclosan. The blush retails for $22 each and the bronzer for $24 (it is bigger), and are available at Sephora stores, sephora.com and bareescentuals.com

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars
