Revlon Fantasy Lengths Self-Adhesive False Lashes Review

Revlon falsies are some of my favorite lashes. The hairs are lush, full, not sloppily made, and just gorgeous. I'm glad Revlon has come up with these innovative false lashes that are fuss-free and - get this- glue-free! Revlon features these new self-adhesive false lashes for those who are not adept in applying messy glue to the backbone of the lash strip, blowing it till it becomes tacky, and applying it carefully to the lashline while trying to prevent the glue from smearing all over the place. Whew! You don't need all that stress with Revlon's new self-adhesive lashes.

The secret is that the backbone of the lashes is tacky with self-adhesive glue. I take the lashes off its box using a pair of tweezers. I just press them on the lashline firmly using the eyelash applicator enclosed in every self-adhesive false lashes box. I love the applicator! It gently "hugs" the contour of your eye so your falsies get firmly pressed onto the lashline. I wish I had these right off the bat when I first started applying regular falsies; it would have made my false lashes application so much easier.

In the look above, I used Revlon self-adhesive lashes in Intensifying. Can you see how clean and neat the lashline is without glue residue smearing the makeup? Application is faster with the self-adhesive lashes as you don't need to mess around with glue, applying it and waiting for it to dry.

The only downside I can think of is that you have to apply the lash strip perfectly the first time. If you don't, the glue will lose its tackiness and would not adhere to the lashline upon re-application. It happened to me once and after the first try, the glue didn't become sticky enough to stick to my lashline. I had to re-apply it with lash glue. I also noticed that the self-adhesive glue is not as sticky as regular lash glue, so there might be a chance that a part of the strip can become unglued from the lashline. I suggest to keep a small tube of glue handy in your purse for such an emergency. Also, to keep this from happening, I highly suggest that you press the lash strip onto your lashline very firmly.

All in all, these self-adhesive lash strips are a dream come true for lash glue phobics. I do suggest pressing the strip firmly to the lashline to make the lashes adhere better and longer to your skin. Other than that, these lashes are very easy to apply, no messy glue needed, and you can re-use this as there are extra adhesive strips in every box.

Crystal, ~thiamere~ and Gale- yes these are amazing - imagine no glue needed! As I said, though, you need to press firmly so that the falsies wouldn't fall off. I'm pretty sure it will find its way to your shores in a few months or weeks. This is a pretty new product. :)
