JulieG Neon Nail Color Polish Swatches, Review

(Media sample)

Even though fall is fast approaching, that doesn't mean we can't wear bright nail polish anymore.  In fact, where I live, it's still in the 100s and with the monsoon season, it's unbelievably humid.  I've tried a lot of JulieG nail polishes, and I can honestly say that many of them have amazing, vibrant shades that apply beautifully on the nails.  However, I have not tried JulieG's neons till now.  Here are some neon shades from her line, as well as a glitter topper.

JulieG Nail Color in Bikini

JulieG nail color in Bikini is a bright neon peachy orange.  My camera (like many other cameras) had a hard time capturing the neon intensity of this nail polish.  The camera doesn't know what to do when faced with this kind of peachy color on steroids, so it does not look as vibrant as it does in person.  It looks very clean on the nails and, like most neons, dries matte.

JulieG Nail Polish in Light It Up! over Bikini

JulieG Nail Polish in Light It Up! is a nice multi-colored glitter topper, with glitter in various sizes.  Light It Up!  is actually a part of the JulieG Holiday 2012 collection, which I already featured in my JulieG Holiday 2012 Nail Polish Swatches, Review post.  It obviously mimics Christmas lights, so this is a nice glitter topper for any nail polish underneath.

JulieG Nail Polish in Oh Em Gee!

JulieG Nail Color in Oh Em Gee! is my favorite out of the JulieG neons that I have.  It's a retina-searing neon hot pink.  It also dries matte just like other neon polishes, but because of this formula, it dries super fast, so it's great as a base for nail stamp art!  See below:

I just love how Oh Em Gee! worked out for this nail stamp art.  It dried super quick so stamping was a breeze.  I used my Cheeky image plates (watch out for a review soon!), and applied a little pearl bead on each nail.  I think it's pretty cute!

All in all, I truly love the formula of the JulieG nail polishes that I've tried. They're not crappy, liquid bombs. They apply quite well on the nails, and the colors are vivid and rich. These polishes are limited edition and are available at Rite Aid stores and Jessesgirlcosmetics.com for $3.99 each.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5
