MAC Styleseeker Swatches and Review Part 1

MAC Whims & Fancies Eyeshadow x2: Performance Art, Shadowy Lady

MAC Wordly Wealth blush

MAC Ready to Roam lipglass

MAC Mattene lipstick in Fun Finds

MAC's fall collections are already here and one of them is the Styleseeker collection. This collection is full of the deep, rich tones that we always associate with fall. I am loving the beautiful multi-chrome nail lacquers which I will feature in a separate entry. For now, here are some of the swatches of the eye shadow duos (or eye shadowx2), blush, Mattene lipstick and lipglass.

Swatches:

MAC Fun Finds mattene lipstick, MAC Ready to Roam lipglass

MAC Fun Finds mattene lipstick

MAC Ready to Roam lipglass

I love the formula of the Mattene lipstick. It goes on rich, bold and matte, but it does not dry out the lips. It does not have the really drying feeling of MAC's regular matte lipsticks. I did not particularly like the Fun Finds Mattene lippie because it looks too pale for my pigmented lips. Usually, Mattenes are great for really bold, rich lip colors like reds and plums.

As for the lipglass, I love, love Ready to Roam. It is the perfect blue-based red lipglass for me. It is a straight cream with no pearl or shimmer particles, just a simple red cream gloss. Very pretty and the look is classic. I think this is becoming one of my favorites.

Whims & Fancies Eye Shadowx2: Performance Art, Shadowy Lady

I am really glad I have the Whims & Fancies Eye Shadowx2 or eye shadow duo because this is what I can really see as a staple in my everyday makeup stash. Performance Art is a really nice platinum silver in the veluxe pearl formula. It can be a nice wash on the lids and great to pair with Shadowy Lady, a dark plum in the matte formula which I think should be a staple in every makeup collection. It really contours and defines the eyes and the matte finish gives a nice effect especially in flash photography. I think Whims & Fancies is the best eyeshadow duo from this collection.

MAC Worldly Wealth powder blush

As for the powder blushes, Worldly Wealth is a unique shade in my collection because it's not your usual peach or pink blush. It's a pretty shimmering peachy bronze, and since it's a shimmer, it can also double as your highlight.

Here are some swatches of the fluidlines from this collection that I already have:

Dark Diversion (bottom left) from the MAC Me Over collection

Dark Diversion (left)

Dark Diversion is beautiful. It's a blackened plum that is great for purples, pinks, plums or even neutrals. It actually leans more on the red side of the spectrum rather than blue or purple.

Blacktrack (left)

Blacktrack is your quintessential flat (no shimmer) solid black. I like that this is a very dependable product. It glides well and it hardly dries up on me.

All in all, this is a nice collection, and I especially like my Whims & Fancies duo eyeshadow, Worldly Wealth blush, and Ready to Roam lipglass. I recommend them as my favorites in this collection. I also like the formula of the mattenes, but I don't like the Fun Finds shade as it looks too pale for my pigmented lips. I would like to try a bright red like Eden Rouge or a dark brick red like Camden Chic. I will come up with complete swatches of these in a subsequent review.

Watch out for my MAC Styleseeker nail lacquer swatches and review.
