PCA Skin Protecting Hydrator SPF 30 Review

Hi everyone, hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I had a little hiatus from blogging to celebrate the holiday with family. I'm back with one of those products that I can say is regimen-changing, if not life changing. I am talking about the PCA Skin Protecting Hydrator SPF 30. It is a non-oily moisturizer for oily and normal skin from PCA Skin. It is a very respected, highly rated skincare company from Arizona. PCA actually stands for Physician's Choice of Arizona. It was founded in 1990, when Aesthetician Margaret Ancira partnered with renowned physicians and scientists to create innovative skin care. These products are now used to treat or control rosacea and acne, and they also feature anti-aging products in their line.

This product is perfect for my skin since this is a skincare line that is made in Arizona and perfected for people living in the desert where the air is dry, but is also ideal for hot and humid climates, as well as for normal to oily skin. However, it is also perfect for those with acne-prone skin because this makes oily skin hydrated and supple and yet will not cause break-outs. I know because I have tried this product out, and I can say that this is really holy grail status product for me.

First of all, I am very particular about the SPF in my product, and I like my moisturizer to have at least SPF25 sunscreen. This product contains SPF30 and protects from UVA and UVB days which I feel is very important. It gives double the protection of a day cream with only SPF15, and yet it is gentle enough to not produce the dreaded white cast in photos. It is also infused with Vitamin E and B5 for supple, smooth skin.

I have tried using this product in the past but for some reason, I stopped using it. Upon using it again continuously, I wondered why I even thought of stopping. I love how it moisturizes but never makes my skin greasy. I also feel I am adequately protected against the harsh rays of the sun, as my dermatologist recommended sunscreen everyday (even on cloudy days) not lower than SPF30.

Using PCA Skincare Protecting Hydrator SPF 30 under makeup

It is a nice base for foundation and as I said, it doesn't give a whitish cast. It never broke me out, makes my skin look great prior to application of makeup.

All in all, I can't say anything bad about the product. Even the price of $34 for 1.7 oz of product is pretty reasonable in my opinion. It comes in a sanitary pump and you only need 3-4 pumps for the entire face. Used everyday, this will last you at least 2 months. In short, I love it.

This PCA skin care product is available at Dermstore.com for $34. They also ship for free. Read the reviews on this product, and you'll see that I am not the only one raving about this.
