The MAC Venomous Villains collection includes a lot of interesting colors - big, bright, and totally wicked, which is the theme of this collection. I am particularly drawn to one of the pigments, greasepaint sticks and blushes.

BLUSHES:

Bite Of An Apple

Darkly My Dear blush, Her Own Devices Beauty Powder

Darkly My Dear

Darkly My Dear

The blushes are lovely. Bite of An Apple is the runaway favorite from this collection, and many are fearing that this will get sold out soon. That is also my prediction, because of the popularity of this product. Bite Of An Apple is a soft matte coral that is quite pigmented; a light hand is required for a soft, beautiful flush of color. This really reminds me of Marine Life highlighting powder after the overspray is gone; from the brightness of the color to the strong pigmentation.

Darkly My Dear is a matte dirty brown plum that is surprisingly lovely on my skintone. I'd thought that it would look dirty but it morphs into a nice soft mauvish brown. This would look great either as a main blush or a contour powder because of the matte formula.

GREASEPAINT STICKS:

Top-Bottom: French Quarter, Slick Black

French Quarter is gorgeous. It is a dirty black green with multi-coloured pearl. This would work great either as an eyeshadow base or a liner or as an eyeshadow itself. Perfect for those smokey eyes with a twist.

Slick Black is your quintessential black. It really looks like grease to me when smeared or spread on the skin. Perfect for anything, and can multi-task as a liner, base or shadow.

PIGMENTS

Melon

Brash & Bold

Push the Edge

Bold & Brash, Push The Edge, Melon

These pigments are repromotes from the MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics collection. Brash & Bold is a bright magenta frost. Can also work great to mix with clear nail polish for a nice magenta lacquer.

Push The Edge is a deep bight purple with pearl that reminds me of Entremauve pigment. This would be beautiful in the crease or outer V. Melon of course has been included in a lot of collections and one of MAC's most popular pigments. It is a frost, a bright soft peach that would make for a great lid color. I use this all the time with golds, bronzes, browns. Perfect for your everyday eye look.

All in all, I can find at least one item in each product category that I particularly like. For the pigments, Melon and Push The Edge are my faves. French Quarter greasepaint stick rocks my socks. As for the blushes, Bite Of An Apple is my favorite, along with the rest of the population who are eyeing this collector's collection.
