MAC Fabulous Felines: Lipstick and Lipglass Swatches and Review

Check out my MAC Fabulous Felines Initial Swatches and Review

Here is part 2 of MAC Fabulous Felines review. I now focus on the lip colors in this entry.

Top-Bottom: Aristo-Cat, Pet Me Please

Top: Superior, Of Royalty, Aristo-Cat, Cunning lipsticks
Bottom: Mauvement, Bloodline pigments

Aristo-Cat

LIPSTICKS: These lipsticks are from the Palace Pedigreed cat-egory.  Superior is a sheer lavender pink with dazzle pink pearl that is in the Dazzle formula.  I am not fond of the dazzle formula and the color is too cool for me.  Of Royalty is a light creamy blue pink which is in the creamsheen formula which I like, but the color also makes this a "skip" for me.  Aristo-Cat is my fave, a mid-tone frosted purple.  Even though I am not a fan of frosted lippies, the color is right up my alley.  Cunning is frosted dark berry.  Pretty and very fall.

Top to Bottom: Spree, Lap of Luxury, Schemer, Wildly Refined

Top: Docile, Wildly Refined, Lap Of Luxury lipglasses
Bottom: Superior, Of Royalty, Aristo-Cat, Cunning lipsticks

Wildly Refined

Wildly Refined

Lap of Luxury

LIPGLASSES: Docile is a pretty dirty lavender with pearl. I already have too many light lilac lipglasses so I decided to skip this. Wildly Refined is a favorite. It's a mid-tone coral with gold pearl. Lap Of Luxury may look dark in the tube, a dark eggplant with pearl, but it morphs into a beautiful berry tint on my lips.

Top: Schemer, Spree, A Quiet Roar lipglasses
Bottom: Pet Me Please, Drive Me Wild, The Prowl lipsticks

Top: Schemer, Spree, A Quiet Roar lipglasses

Bottom: Pet Me Please, Drive Me Wild, The Prowl lipsticks

Spree lipglass

Pet Me Please lipstick

LIPSTICKS: Pet Me Please is a frosted light dirty mauve in the frost formula which I said was too light and frosty for my skintone. This would look great with dramatic eyes. Drive Me Wild is a mid-tone warm coral with gold pearl.  Even though I have warm skintones, this is a bit too warm for me.  The Prowl is way too dark for my taste, a creamy dark chocolate.

LIPGLASSES: Schemer reminds me of Beansprout lustreglass on my lips. It's described as a mid-tone camel with red and gold pearl. It also reminds me of an old lipglass from the MAC Raquel Welch collection called Vital Spark, but the latter was more yellow and Schemer is more of an antique gold to my eyes.  Spree is a HUGE favorite. It's so beautiful, I knew I had to have it the minute I laid eyes on it. It's a pink champagne taupe that is a little lighter than Liqueur but almost the same in finish. It's my definite favorite out of all the lipglasses from this collection.

Top: Kittenish, To Pamper, Out Minxed lipsticks
Bottom corner: Jealous lipglass

L-R: Kittenish, To Pamper, Out Minxed, Liquid Lurex lipsticks

L-R: Jealous, Best of Breed, Fancy Cat lipglasses

LIPSTICKS: Kittenish is a deep berry red in the creamsheen formula. Vampy lips never looked this good especially since this is in my favorite formula. This looks like a deeper So Scarlet from the Cult of Cherry collection. To Pamper is an interesting shade, a creamy mid-tone taupe that I bet would look fabulous on the right complexion. Liquid Lurex and Out Minxed look pretty similar to me; they're both yellow-tinged lipsticks, except that the former is in the Dazzle formula and the latter is Glaze.

LIPGLASSES: If you are into unusual lipgloss shades like soft greens and blues, this collection is for you. Jealous is a light dirty green with pearl, Best of Breed is a light dirty blue with pearl, and Fancy Cat is a dark dirty brown with pearl.

Recommendations: For lipsticks, I recommend Pet Me Please (if you are into frosted light lippies), Liquid Lurex if you can rock dazzle lipsticks, Aristo-Cat, and Kittenish for vampy lips. For lipglasses my ultimate fave is Spree, followed by Wildly Refined, Lap Of Luxury and Schemer.

Watch out for more reviews and swatches from this collection.

Wow, Lap of Luxury is such a pretty color isn't it? I can't wait to hit my local mac to check some of this out in person!

Even though everyone's saying how Lap of Luxury looks really good, I feel like I've seen it before. It looks similar to On Display, Jampacked, Quick Tease and Purple Rage lipglasses. I'm on the fence about Lap of Luxury...

And I suspected Spree was just like Liqueur, I'm so glad someone confirmed it. I own Liqueur, but still haven't opened it. I think I might bring it to the store with me to compare it in person with Spree. Between Spree and Liqueur, which do you prefer?

Beatrice- I agree, Lap of Luxury is amazing, maybe because it's just basically a stain and sheer, but the dark color gives such a nice stain on the lips.

Sylvie...hmmm...I don't know, I like them both equally because I wear them depending on my mood, but if you want more color on your lips, I suggest stick to Liqueur. Spree gives almost the same finish and shade, except that it is lighter. Hope that helps!
