Konad Image Plate Haul and Manicure of the Day: Orly in Charged Up

I received my new plates from wowsocool.com in a record time of 3 business days.  I tried one of my new plates, m62, using Orly in Charged Up, a beautiful deep purple.  I don't know why it looked kinda blue in the pics, but it really is on the purple side, but yes, admittedly, it's a blue-based purple.  It was raining today so I couldn't take pics of this under direct sunlight, so I hope this would do.

I used the bow pattern that looks like a necklace.  I used it with the bow facing my cuticle, so it looks upside down when taken at this position:

Nonetheless, I really like the design.  It's so dainty and yet the base color lends an edgy feel to it.

Here are the different plates I got from Wowsocool: m02, c06 (the lovely Coraline fancy french tip plates), m77, m78, m74, m62, and m26.

But that's not all!!

I got some fauxnads on Ebay.  They are really cheap, like I think $18 for 11 pieces or even cheaper, but I don't like how it doesn't really transfer the image that well.  Some work really good, and some are duds.

I got these amazing super duper large fauxnad plates from Chez Delaney. They came all the way from France and I like the quality of these. There is a learning curve, but it was fun doing it. I only got one small plate from Delaney (the fancy french tip). All the others are large. Take a look at these:

Aren't they pretty? I tried one of the images, the one with the hearts (the last plate shown above), but I made a mistake because it was the first time for me to work with a very large image. I scraped too hard so the image wasn't transferred perfectly onto the nail. Nonetheless, here is a photo of two of the more decent transfers (cropped out the bad transfers on the other nails):

I can't wait to try out the other images, and hopefully I can get the hang of using these new fauxnads just as I have grown adept with the real Konad plates.

D's Beauty Corner- I know right? It's getting to be really popular, because they're really pretty. =)

xbbkay - thank you! There is a learning curve, but after you've tried it a few times, it's not that hard.

miss.tammy- that animal mesmerizes me too! I have no idea what kind it is, though. lol

Linda Phuong Tran- aww thank you! =)

Grace- heyy girl you're here!! Thanks for visiting the blog. *hugs*

gio and meya- thank you ladies!

Tammy- it's pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it. It's easier than freehand nail art, IMO. =)
