Romantic Date Makeup Looks and Video Tutorial

So Valentine's Day was ten days ago, but who says you can't go out to romantic dinners even after Valentine's Day?

For a romantic night out look, I like to keep my eyes neutral but my lips bright.  Here is my look during a date with my husband in 2014.  I used my favorite MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus lipstick and lipglass.

Sometimes, though, I just want to wear toned-down lips.  For the look below, I used LuminessAir Air Supremacy Air Brush Makeup for my foundation, and a liquid lipstick from LA Splash called Lip Couture in Love Good.

This first look involves a slightly darkened crease but still a neutral eye, matte lips and light blush.

The second look uses light, neutral colors on the eyes and luscious-looking lips.  I am wearing Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in 320 Love Drunk.

I guess the key to creating romantic looks is to make everything look natural and not too heavy.

OPI Winter 2015: Starlight Collection Swatches, Review

I have a lot of upcoming reviews and swatches of the new OPI collections, so let's get on with this one!  This is OPI's Winter 2015 collection called Starlight.  The theme of the collection is obviously all heavenly bodies twinkling and sparkling, so there is a good number of glitters and shimmers in this bunch.  Below are my swatches and thoughts on the collection.

 OPI Comet Closer

 OPI Comet Closer is a warm-toned silver metallic.  A little streaky but pulls off the metallic, starry theme well.

OPI I Drive a SuperNova

OPI I Drive a SuperNova

OPI I Drive a SuperNova is one of the prettiest metallics from this collection.  It's a very metallic foil silver.  It is surprisingly quite easy to apply and is not streaky.

OPI Is This Star Taken?

OPI Is This Star Taken? is a warm silver metallic with a weird finish.  It has bar glitter which is NOT a good look with metallics.  Looks very uneven and lumpy.

OPI I'm in The Moon For Love

OPI I'm in The Moon For Love is a nice berry shade with pretty shimmer.  Nice shade that can transition into spring.
