Em Cosmetics Shade Play Lip Color Mixing Palette in Mix It Up Reds

Em Cosmetics comes up with customizable lip palettes in six different color themes to come up with Your Lips But Better lip shades.  I was able to try the Em Cosmetics Shade Play Lip Color Mixing Palette in Mix It Up Reds.  It comes in a sturdy, clean-looking white acrylic compact with six varying degrees of shades, mostly red.  It has three different shades of lipstick, and three shades of gloss.  It also comes with its own lip brush that is perfect for travel, an empty receptacle for mixing, and a mirror.

As you can see in the swatches, the reds vary in texture and shade.  The largest product in the compact is actually a nice warm-toned red lipstick.  There is also a cool and a neutral red lipstick.

I like that this compact also has a clear lipgloss and two darker red glosses.  This is perfect for those days when you don't want an extremely pigmented red lip, but just a light luscious red sheen.

I am not really a fan of lip palettes, but I realized that this is much more convenient to carry than let's say a handful of lipsticks and glosses.  This is especially true when you want a particular color (in this case, red) to be your lips' theme for a particular day (or night, or weekend).  This is why I think this palette is a really nice idea for travel.
