OPI Holiday 2014: Gwen Stefani Swatches and Review Part 1

Today is all about the OPI Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani Collection!  Last year, OPI launched a Gwen Stefani collection, but it was just a small one and less than 6 polishes in all.  This time, OPI launches a grand total of twelve polishes for the special OPI Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani collection.  Here are the first six nail lacquers, and my thoughts on them.

OPI Cinnamon Sweet, as the name suggests, is a a cinnamon red cream.  It is opaque in two coats.  For some reason, this one really looks festive, like a color of a holiday sweater.

OPI Just Be-Claus
OPI Just Be-Claus

OPI Just Be-Claus is like a cream mulberry red.  I love this shade.  This is one of my favorites from this collection.  It is a very classic color, and also opaque in two coats.

OPI Kiss Me - Or Elf!

OPI Kiss Me - Or Elf! is a shimmery magenta.  I am liking this because it is not a cream, and the shimmer has this nice flash of purple that is quite pretty.

OPI Red Fingers and Mistletoes

OPI Red Fingers and Mistletoes is one of my favorites - a beautiful, glass fleck copper red.  This is such a festive shade!  Very fall-esque and quite apt for the season.

OPI Sleigh Parking Only

OPI Sleigh Parking Only is a one of the prettiest dark plums I own.  It is a cream and is just gorgeous!  This is the perfect holiday winter vampy shade.

OPI In A Holi-daze
OPI In A Holi-daze

OPI In A Holi-daze is a jelly, a maroon shade that is not my cup of tea.  The jelly formula makes it apply and look patchy.  It needs at least 3 coats for decent coverage.

All in all, these are gorgeous shades with fantastic formula, with the exception of OPI In A Holi-daze.  My favorites from these first six shades are Sleigh Parking Only, Red Fingers and Mistletoes and OPI Just Be-Claus, and Kiss Me Or Elf is also pretty.

Watch out for Part 2 of the OPI Holiday 2014 Gwen Stefani Swatches!
