tarte limited edition gold Picture Perfect eyelash curler
tarte deluxe size Lights, Camera, Flashes! statement mascara
I've always been on a hunt for a good quality travel lash curler and mascara. I hate bringing my main lash curler and mascara that I use at home for trips, so I'm pretty glad that I was able to try this set.

You're looking at tarte's Limited Edition Strike a Pose Statement Lash set. It features a limited-edition gold Picture Perfect eyelash curler, and a deluxe (travel)-sized Lights, Camera, Flashes statement mascara.

Let's start with the eyelash curler. I was pretty surprised that it had a spring mechanism, as I'm used to those that have none. That's why it took a while for me to get used to the resistance when I push the two "legs" together to curl my lashes. Nonetheless, the curler worked pretty well. I don't know if it did increase my lash curl up to nine times (per tarte's claims), but I do know that it curled my lashes decently for somebody with super straight asian lashes like mine.

If any of you have tried the tarte classic mascara called Lights, Camera, Lashes, this mascara called Lights, Camera, Flashes is better, in my opinion. IT has this really dark pigment that truly defines my sparse lashes. It also lengthens the shortest lashes on earth (mine!). I like the plastic head because it defines and volumizes my lashes without making them look clumpy.

If you are looking for an eyelash curler and mascara travel set, I really think this is a pretty good deal. This limited edition set retails for $19 and is available on sephora.com and tartecosmetics.com.
