Battle of the Drugstore Liquid Liners Series #1: Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Liner Swatches, Review

I posted a photo on my Instagram account a month ago about my drugstore haul comprised of mostly liquid liners and mascaras.  This is the first of a series of posts on that haul.  I bought a bunch of liquid liners from the drugstore to review and compare them.  First up is a liquid liner from Rimmel London called Exaggerate Eye Liner.

This one has an inkwell and a felt-tip applicator.  This one reminds me of the very first liquid liner that I've ever used, Almay's, from nine years ago.  It has the same felt tip applicator and inkwell.  The felt tip is supposed to give the most precise, crisp lines.

I like to use liquid liners for my cat eye lines.  As for the Rimmel London Exaggerate, I like how easy it is to control the applicator.

Swatches:

As you can see, the Rimmel London Exaggerate produces crisp, pigmented matte lines.  That's what I noticed about this product; it is matte which I absolutely prefer over those shiny black lines some liquid liners produce.  I personally like how this look when worn on my upper lashline.

If you are looking for a liquid liner to produce great cat eye lines, you might want to try this one.  It gives easy control, the felt tip applicator provides pigment without skipping, and it deposits ink without overloading the tip with too much product.

All in all, I am pretty pleased with the Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Liner, and I like how crisp, dark and matte the lines are.  I will be posting an eye look using this liquid liner, so stay tuned!
