The Sephora Disney Ariel collection has been much talked about the past weeks or so, mainly because of its gorgeous packaging.  I made a Video Review on the Sephora Disney Ariel collection where I talked about a number of items that I have from that collection.  Most of the buzz has been all about the 15-pan Ariel Storylook Palette Vol. 3, but there's not much talk about Part of Your World palette, which is the quad from this collection.

Here are some swatches of the Part of Your World quad, and my thoughts on this palette.

Swatches:

First of all, the colors are a mix of brights and neutrals, so it's easy to mix and match your eye looks using this palette.  The top colors in the palette are your usual neutral highlight/lid colors, while the deeper shades are on the bottom row.

This palette contains a shimmery white called Who's It, a matte clay gray called Who's That, Dinglehopper which is an iridescent white teal, and a Snarfblat, a dark violet with iridescent glitter.

The swatches were made without a base underneath, but as you can see, the colors applied pigmented and smooth.  This is a shimmery/glittery group of shadows with the exception of Who's That which is matte, so if you are not into shimmers, you might want to avoid this quad.  However, I think this is a great palette as we transition into fall, because the teal is the pop of color we need to balance the dark, rich shades of fall, while the other rich shades of this palette are perfect for fall and winter.

I honestly would recommend this palette if only for the packaging alone which is quite darling!  Other than that, if you don't have similar shades yet, I suggest you check this out at your local Sephora.  This is also available online at Sephora.com as I write.  It retails for $30/4 x 0.049 oz eye shadows.
