Bobbi Brown Launches Pretty Powerful Campaign

BOBBI BROWN COSMETICS LAUNCHES GLOBAL CHARITY INITIATIVE
A New Chapter of the Pretty Powerful Campaign

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is proud to announce the evolution of the brand’s Pretty Powerful message into a new global charitable initiative that continues to celebrate the empowerment of women— The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls. Launching on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2013, the campaign will kick off with the introduction of Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Korea and South Africa. Every cent of the retail selling price of Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge will support organizations that empower women and girls with the confidence and resources to be their best.

“Pretty Powerful symbolizes my belief that all women are pretty, and with the right tools, are empowered to a higher level of pretty – it’s about being confident and about being who you are,” says Bobbi Brown. “It’s this philosophy that fuels the campaign and motivates me every day to do all I can to empower women and girls.”

Makeup alone cannot even the playing field for women and girls across the world, but Bobbi Brown Cosmetics believes that together, those who create, apply, buy and wear makeup, can. The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls aims to help women “be who they are” by raising funds to support programs that provide them with education, job skills and work experience.

The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls beneficiaries include:

US & UK: Dress for Success, an international non-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Hong Kong: HER FUND, a charity that promotes human rights and gender equality for women and girls.

Korea: Open Closet, an organization that supports job seekers with limited resources by providing access to professional attire, as well as other career development tools.

South Africa: HeartBeat, a charity that cares for the emotional wellbeing of orphaned and vulnerable young women and girls suffering from the impact of HIV.

To support The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls, you can:

• Buy Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge at Bobbi Brown counters or online.
• Log on to GlobalGiving.org/PrettyPowerful and make a donation to one of the five organizations that are a part of The Pretty Powerful

Campaign for Women & Girls. GlobalGiving.org is an online marketplace, operating in nearly 100 countries, that allows donors to support and contribute to grassroots projects from all over the world.

Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge will be available in “Pretty Powerful Pink,” a universally flattering shade, featured in a sleek flip-top compact with the campaign’s signature logo. The double-duty
cream formula blends easily, giving cheeks a sheer stain of color and lips a beautiful soft, stained finish. This limited edition item will be available in March 2013 at select Bobbi Brown Cosmetics
counters in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Korea and South Africa.

This worldwide movement, launching this Friday, March 8th, is dedicated to empowering women and girls with education, resources, job skills and work experience and will aim to help them “be who they are.” The campaign will raise funds through the sale of a limited-edition Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge ($25) and via GlobalGiving.org. In the U.S., every cent of the proceeds from sales of the Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge will go to Dress for Success, which Bobbi has worked with for years.

In Bobbi’s words, “makeup alone cannot even the playing field for women and girls across the world, but I believe that together, those who create, apply, buy and wear makeup can.”
