Glossybox Holiday 2012: 'Tis The Season to be Glossy Review

I've got to say, the Glossybox for this month has been a much-welcome treat!  This is probably hands-down the best Glossybox I've tried, just because I am really loving most of the items.  They're not just mediocre items for me, but these are some items that I really like and will probably purchase a full-size version of.

Epionce Restorative Hand Cream (Full-size price 419/2.5oz)

Glossybox December 2012

The Epionce Restorative Hand Cream is probably one of the best hand creams I've tried, and that is coming from someone who has never even heard of this brand before.  I am very particular about my hands, and I always slather hand cream after I wash my hands every time, and I make sure that I have a tube in the car, in my office drawer or somewhere within reach.  This particular hand cream fulfills two of my top requirements for a hand cream- first, that it must be a rich, super moisturizing hand cream, and second, that it be non-greasy.  I love how it instantly makes my hands look and feel soft and supple. I also love the light citrusy scent.  I live in the desert and the dry climate plus the onset of winter can be really drying and damaging to the skin.  The Epionce hand cream restores moisture to the hands without feeling sticky or greasy.  This is my top pick from this Glossybox, and I will purchase a full-size when I run out.

Skin&Co. Roma Truffle Serum: Hydro-Toning Day Face Serum

The Skin&Co. Roma Truffle Serum: Hydro-Toning Day Face Serum is supposed to slow down signs of aging.  This serum is infused with peptides and pure extracts of Tuber Melanosporum (or "black Périgord truffle") and Hyaluronic Acid. If used daily, it is claimed to brighten skin. I have not used this long enough to vouch for that claim, but I like to use this after cleansing and before moisturizing at night. It gives a refreshing feel to the skin, and it works well with my argan oil or night cream.

I've always wanted to have a nude lipliner like this!  However, this is not just a lipliner but also and eye pencil.  The Illamasqua Lip and Eye Medium Pencil is quite creamy, so there is no tugging on the skin at all.  This is great as a lipliner to line a nude lip look, or to fill the entire lips for a concealer lip look.  I love to use this on my waterline to make my eyes look brighter and more awake.

Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil

Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil

This is another favorite of mine from this Glossybox.  The Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil is a thicker version of the Josie Maran Argan Oil that I use regularly.  Argan oil is an amazing natural oil that infuses moisture to the skin, hair and cuticles, nourishing these body parts and making them look and feel soft and renewed.  The  Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil is a thicker version of the argan oil, but it is not greasy or sticky.  As you can see in the photos, it gets absorbed quickly and easily by the skin.  I use this on my face after cleansing and applying my serum and prescription-strength retinoids, and it infuses moisture back into the skin and replaces the natural oils that have somehow been stripped off by cleansing and toning.

Perfumies Solid Perfume Stick

The Perfumies Solid Perfume Stick in Double Rainbow has a nice pleasant scent to it, kinda like baby powder and flowers, and the solid state is perfect for smelling good-on-the-go.  The only thing I don't like about this is that the product is a bit too soft and mushy for application.  However, this is great for travel and because it's in solid form, you never get spill accidents.

All in all, as I said, this is such an amazing Glossybox because the products are ones that I actually use.  My favorites are definitely the Epionce Restorative Hand Cream, the Illamasqua Lip & Eye Medium Pencil, and the Argan Oil.

Note: Media sample was provided by a representative of the company for consideration.  All opinions are completely mine.
