PIXI has always been my go-to brands when I visit Target.  Not only is the packaging truly darling and cute, many of the products are really pigmented and blend well on the skin.

I really like the PIXI Beauty Blush in Purest Peach.  It seemed very light in the compact, but it actually shows nicely on my skin without being to garish.  It is light peach with slight sheen, but not super shimmery.  It looks very fresh on the skin.

The PIXI Sheer Cheek Gel was a bit too light when I applied it on my skin.  I should have realized that the operative word her is "sheer".  It gives a nice, moist-looking sheer flush on the cheeks.  It is buildable though so you might want to add some more product if it looks too sheer for you.  The one I have is No. 5 in Peachy.  It looks coppery in the tube, but it sheers out and blends well.  I like to bring this with me to work because it's easy to touch up.  I just use clean fingers to apply the product on my cheeks and blend.  No need for a blush brush!

The only downside I can think of is that these are a bit on the pricey side, especially if you deem them drugstore products as most products from Target are drugstore brands.  The PIXI Sheer Cheek Gel is $18 and the PIXI Beauty Blush is $16.  They are very good products, though, and you will find a LOT of product in the Sheer Cheek Gel tube, so you get what you pay for.

Edited to Add: This is Pixi's response to some people's perceptions that they are a drugstore brand (nothing bad about drugstore brands, but explaining the difference in price point): "We do not consider our brand to be a drugstore brand, even though we are sold at Target. Target selected Pixi, along with other brands like Jemma Kidd and Napoleon Perdis to be a part of a higher end market for the stores. Our products are infused with botanical ingredients, which is why they are pricier than typical drugstore brands. That being said, our quality isn't the same as a drugstore brand, which is what I'd be afraid that people may think sometimes, seeing us next to those brands."

The PIXI line is really nice and are on par with some of the department store brands that I've tried.  The powder blush is really nicely milled and not splotchy or patchy when applied.  I also like the staying power of the powder blush.  The Sheer Cheek Gel has decent staying power, and since it's a sheer gel, you might have to re-apply by midday.

These products and the whole PIXI line are available at Target stores.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5

The blush is gorgeous! I love the idea of a cheek gel for the perfect match of cheeks and lips, because that's what I usually try to go for. Pixi is awesome!
