theBalm Balm Jovi Rockstar Face Palette Swatches and Review

I posted my video review of theBalm Cosmetics products last weekend.  I've been a fan of some of the palettes from theBalm like everyone's fave the Nude 'Tude palette, Meet Matt(e) and the Shadowy Lady palette, but lately I've discovered some products from this brand that I really like.  As what I've mentioned in my video review, I think this brand is way underrated.  Sure, the Nude 'Tude palette gets a lot of love, and their Hot Mama blush is pretty popular, but there are a lot of products from their line that are hidden gems and are waiting to be discovered.

I will be doing written reviews of all the products from theBalm that I was able to review.  First up i s the Balm Jovi Rockstar Face Palette.

Milly and Vanilly lip and cheek creams

theBalm Balm Jovi Rockstar Face Palette has 12 eye shadow shades, 1 highlighter, 1 blush, and 2 lip and cheek creams.  It also has a little folded cover that shows you suggested combinations of the shades.

In my video review that I mentioned, I wore several of the shades in this palette for my look.  I loved Iron Maid-in, like a green-toned champagne shimmer.  I used it on my lid, then applied Allegro on the crease as a transition color.  It's a light-medium matte brown that is great as a gradient color.  I also used Presto, a matte deep dark brown, and a little bit of Moderato, a nice matte dark plum.

Those of you who have the Nude 'Tude palette would know that theBalm has really good quality shadows.  They glide nicely on the lids, they last long when worn and the shades are rich, intense and pigmented.  The swatches above are from the Balm Jovi palette.

In my video review, I also wore the two lip creams, Milly and Vanilly, as well as the highlighter and the blush.  Like their regular blushes, the blush in this palette was smooth and wasn't patchy when worn.  The highlighter is nice and is your usual champagne-colored highlight.  The lip creams can also double as cheek tints, so they are multi-taskers that you can appreciate especially if you use these for travel.

All in all, I think that this is a solid face palette that is great for travel because you basically have almost everything in here.  The packaging is adorable, pretty nifty and comes in an environment-friendly cardboard palette.  It also has a cute heart-shaped mirror.

I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a palette that basically has almost all the products you need for a full face makeup.  The names of the shades and the palette itself are adorable as well.

The product retails for $39.50 and is available at theBalm.com.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.7 out of 5
