Aromaleigh Dusk to Dawn Overnight Mineral Treatment I, II

If you check out the tag "Aromaleigh" under the Labels tab of this blog, you would know that I have 99 entries on this mineral makeup brand alone.  I did reviews, swatches and makeup looks using Aromaleigh products.  That just shows how much I like this brand.

The reason is simple.  Have you ever tried mineral shadows and feel that they just look like glitter bombs- all shimmer/glitter but no pigment?  Aromaleigh shadows are not like that in my experience.  They are pigmented and are not just "mica bombs".  I also like that they apply smoothly on the lid and blend well.  I don't like loose eyeshadows that don't adhere to the lids and create a lot of fall-out.  As long as you use a tacky base, Aromaleigh shadows stick well to your lids even when applied dry.  As with all mineral eye shadows, you can intensify the colors if you foil them (applying  wet with a mixing medium).  Since Aromaleigh shadows are pigmented enough, I like them applied dry.

The Aromaleigh V.2 Moulin Rouge is a limited edition eye shadow collection from Aromaleigh.  It has nice, transitional shades that can be used either for summer or fall.  The swatches were applied with no base underneath, and yet you can see how pigmented they are.  They will look even more so with a tacky colored base.

I was also able to try the Aromaleigh Dusk to Dawn Overnight Treatment. It is a mineral formula with skin-nourishing vitamins, herbal extracts and amino-acid rich silk powder that you apply before you go to bed at night, and it will work while you sleep to help give you better skin in the morning.  It has two shades which is supposed to blend into your skin's natural color.  I use II which is the darker of the shades.  It has this unusual smell that I couldn't take at first, but it dissipates so I was able to sleep wearing it.   This is great for those with blemish issues.  I had a pimple on my forehead when I applied this, and it made the zit look smaller in the morning. For those with redness issues, I read that this formula also helped with that. However, since I don't have much redness on my face, I can't comment on that aspect. It did however make my skin look more even-toned.

Ingredients: Trace mineral concentrate, silk powder, zinc oxide, silica, mica, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), allantoin, aloe barbadensis leaf (aloe vera) extract, phyllanthus emblica fruit extract, ectoin, camellia sinensis (green tea) extract, titanium dioxide (CI 77891), iron oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499)

All in all, you can say that I am liking Aromaleigh V.2 products. They work just as well as Aromaleigh v.1 (the previous company before its revamp). I am looking forward to creating looks using these new Moulin Rouge shadows.

What is great about these products is that you can purchase samples of these before committing to the full-size.  You can purchase samples and full sizes on aromaleigh.com.
