NARSSkin Skincare: Exfoliator, Brightening Concentrate and Eye Cream Review

As I'd mentioned in a previous entry on NARSSkin, it's only apt that a premium cosmetics brand such as NARS has its own skincare line. The skin is the canvass on which makeup artistry is showcased, so it's imperative that good skincare is maintained to protect and nourish that canvass. As a brand rooted in makeup artistry it’s important that the skincare line reflect that. NARS introduces NARSskin. This 10-product collection has both anti-aging and illuminating properties that help your face look its best.

NARS Optimal Brightening Concentrate

I have three of the new NARSSkin products and I took my time in testing them to make sure that I am really giving justice to them by testing them thoroughly. My favorite one of all has got to be the NARSSkin Optimal Brightening Concentrate. This product helped in significantly lightening the dark acne spots on my chin. Let me say that a couple of months ago, my chin was a wreck. My fluctuating hormones created a zit farm on my chin. Even though my skin cleared up after I underwent some hormone therapy, I still had really dark acne spots on the chin. It really got me very concerned. I tried the Optimal Brightening Concentrate that I use with my other serums, specifically Vitamin C and combined with retinoids in my skincare regimen. This product worked great with my other skincare products and really made my skin look brighter, more radiant and evened my complexion.

NARS claims that the Brightening Concentrate is infused with NARS’ exclusive Light Reflecting Complex which instantly brightens skin and revitalizes the complexion. It also contains Vitamin C that evens skin tone while working long term to prevent and help repair signs of aging. Noni Fruit Extracts boosts cellular energy.

Can you see the pearlescent film on the drop of concentrate in the photos? It really gives a radiant "film" to the face as it works to help against dark spots and discoloration. Now my acne marks have significantly faded and almost gone, yay! Check out my Video Post: August Beauty Favorites as I talk about the NARS Optimal Brightening Concentrate.

NARSSkin Total Replenishing Eye Cream

I've been enjoying the NARSSkin Total Replenishing Eye Cream, just because it comes in a really HUGE tube for an eye cream. It does not really give any remarkable results, but it does give a very moisturized, supple eye area especially when I wake up in the morning after using this at night. I also use this during the day and it goes well with my makeup.

NARSSkin Double Refining Exfoliator

NARSSkin Double Refining Exfoliator refines skin’s surface with mild citrus fruit acids and botanical exfoliating spheres. NARS claims that pores are deeply cleansed, smoothed, and become less visible. Skin feels smoother and looks brighter. It also contains the NARS exclusive Light Reflecting Complex™ designed to restore skin’s youthful radiance and reflect light like a prism.

I did notice a more radiant complexion after using this product. The exfoliating spheres are great for sensitive skin because they only gently rub against the skin. I personally prefer a more abrasive exfoliator (almost like microdermabrasion spheres) because I am already used to that kind of friction on my skin. For those who have sensitive skin, the NARS Double Refining Exfoliator is perfect for you.

All in all, I really like the products I tried, especially the Optimal Brightening Concentrate. I love how my skin looks after 4 weeks of use. The eye cream is significantly sized and you will be able to enjoy this product for a long time. Like I said, the Double Refining Exfoliator gently exfoliates so this is great for sensitive skin.

All products will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue stores on August 1 and everywhere else on August 15. You can also purchase these products on www.narscosmetics.com.

I bet you would love it :) It really made my skin improve its overall look by evening out the skintone and most important, lightening the acne spots.
