Maijan Pure Moroccan Organic Argan Oil Review

I already mentioned on this blog that I love complexion oils. I use them at night because not only are they gentle on the skin and don't break my acne-prone skin out, they also absorb well into my skin and make my face feel so soft and supple when I wake up in the morning. I also feel that complexion oils work better with my retinoids and Vitamin C serums.

I was able to try the Maijan Pure Organic Cold Pressed Argan Oil from Morocco. It is 100% pure argan oil and I was surprised that it came in a huge 2 oz bottle with a nice dropper dispenser! It is naturally rich with Vitamin E, Antioxidants, Omega-6, and contains no sulfates or alcohol. Argan oil is not only good as a face or complexion oil, it also works best on the hair, skin, and cuticles. People with dry, coarse hair will benefit much from argan oil. It alleviates itchy scalp and protects the scalp from UV rays. For those with frizzy hair, argan oil will nourish and moisturize your tresses. I have oily hair so I don't use argan oil on my scalp and hair, but this is amazing as a cuticle treatment. My hands and cuticles are always dry because I live in the desert, but this product just soothes my cuticles and heals the ragged, sore ones. You can also use this product on dry areas of your body like elbows, knees and heels, and it just makes them look soothed and moisturized. For some reason, it also treats my itchy skin. If I get a bug bite, I just apply it on the affected area and it soothes it so I don't have to scratch and make the area worse.

As for the face, argan oil is known to prevent wrinkles, but I cannot vouch for that as of now. I can only say that I apply this oil after I apply my vitamin C serum and prescription-strength retinoids, and it makes my face soft and moisturized while working with my serum and retinoids.

What I also like about Maijan argan oil is that it is not greasy at all. It is absorbed well by the skin so it doesn't leave a sticky, greasy residue. It is light and not cloying or heavy, so this is also good as a summer moisturizer.

The best part of the Maijan argan oil is that is one of the more inexpensive argan oils in the market today. Josie Maran makes some amazing argan oil, but Maijan costs less and works just as good. You can purchase Maijan argan oil at stylebell.com, and they have a good sale going on right now at more than 50% off!

The only downside that I can say is that I chose the Unscented variant, and it is not really unscented, it has this weird scent that I cannot stand. I hope to get the Maijan argan oil that has the ylang ylang or rosewood scent, as I feel the Unscented version does not go well with my sense of smell. Other than that, this is an amazing product and I would recommend the scented version to anyone.

Great review on the argan oil! I read so many good things about this oil, even the Dr at the Martha Stewart show raves about it and argan oil is included in his derma products :) Argan Oil is def. in my wishlist along with other natural stuff products which are good for our skin! Muah!
