Anastasia Beverly Hills All Eye Want Palette Swatches and Review

I bought a bunch of stuff during the Sephora Friends and Family and V.I.B. sales, and I know I'm late in featuring them. However, I'm slowly catching up! Here's my first purchase, the Anastasia Beverly Hills All Eye Want palette. It features nine Illumin8 shadows that are all neutrals, and includes a mascara, brow gel, and double-ended brush.

This set contains:
- 9 x 0.025 oz Illumin8 Eye Shadows in matte beige, bronze taupe shimmer, matte peach ivory, gold shimmer, matte camel, silvery taupe shimmer, dark brown with gold shimmer, champagne shimmer, matte chocolate brown with gold flecks
- 0.1 oz Lash Lifting Mascara in black
- 0.085 oz Clear Brow Gel
- Double-Ended Brush

Here are some close-ups of the shadows:

It also comes with a mini mascara. I will review the mascara separately.

I had my eye on this because I really wanted to collect neutral eyeshadows and palettes. I realize that as I get older, I tend to reach for more neutral colors on my eyes for that professional but polished look. I grab every neutral palette I can find. This one is nice because the colors are very pigmented, they glide like butter on the skin. I did a look using this palette and I will post a tutorial soon.

I like that there is a good combination of both lid and outer V/crease shades in this palette. I also like that there is one matte shade that is very close to my skintone that almost disappeared into my skin in the swatches. That would make for a great blending/transition color. The middle shade (the center shade in the palette) is a matte brown that is similar to Buck in the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. This is a lovely palette that I know I will enjoy regularly.

I only have two complaints about this palette. First, the shades are too warm. I would love to have some cool taupes or browns in to the mix. Second, there is no black shade or something close to black. I would love to have a charcoal or matte black in this palette just to create a really smoky eye or to use as a liner. Otherwise, this is a great palette and for the price of $32 that includes a mascara and a brow gel, it's almost a steal. Available at Sephora and Sephora.com.
