e.l.f. 24K 4-Piece Glitter Gloss Collection Swatches and Review

I was able to try some of e.l.f.'s limited edition offerings, particularly the e.l.f. 24K 4-Piece Glitter Gloss Collection. The 24K collection is e.l.f.'s most luxurious line, but even then, this 4-piece gloss collection is only $14!

These glosses have gold caps and gold embossed labels on the tubes. It has four universal shades for all kinds of skin tones: there's a candy-colored pink gloss with micro-glitter, a coral-pink with gold micro-glitter, a neutral brown glitter shimmer, and a plummy shade with glitter shimmer. Here are some swatches:

My favorites are the plummy shade and the coral shade with gold shimmer, as the latter reminds me of my MAC lipglass creation, Sonoran Rain lipglass from the MAC Bloggers' Obsessions collection.

The formula is a bit thick, so if you don't like sticky glosses, these are not for you. The good news is that since these are sticky, these do not fade too easily, and they have decent staying power. The tubes are also a little small, but you get 4 glosses for $14, so it's not that bad.

They are neither too sheer nor too pigmented.  They do make good layering glosses to apply over lipticks to give a festive shiny/twinkly luscious lip look.  I like to layer similar shades of lip products to intensify the color effect, like I would layer the coral lipgloss over a coral lipstick, the plummy gloss over a mauvish plummy lipstick, and so on.  I also like that these kinda seal the lip look so that the lip products don't budge from the lips for a few hours.  You would have to re-apply these after a meal, though.

All in all, for these universal shades and affordable price, this is a pretty good deal.  This is an online exclusive for a limited time over at eyeslipsface.com.
