Elizabeth Arden Pretty Hot Fragrance Review

Review after the jump

I've had the chance to try this new scent from Elizabeth Arden that was launched this year. Pretty Hot is the sexier, sultrier version of Pretty, the sweet floral scent launched in 2009. Pretty Hot is described as mesmerizing, alluring, sultry. Its heart is the scent of the night-blooming flower, belle de nuit. Top notes are red currant, blood orange, juicy mandarin, freesia and red apple. The base has amber, patchouli, sandalwood and musky Cosmone.

I like that this scent is spicy, floral and fruity at the same time. It reminds me of balmy summer nights walking along the beach. I think it is also a great evening fragrance for this summer. I usually wear Pretty during the day, and it gives a lighter, fresher feeling, whereas Pretty Hot is sultrier and spicier and thus suits evenings better. This is the reason why I am more attached to my Pretty bottle- I can bring it with me all day everyday, and it gives such a sweet, floral and fresh scent. With Pretty Hot, the drydown is stronger than that of pretty and is more musky. I am not a fan of amber scents, so this is not really my go-to fragrance in the morning- but I would reach for it for evening dates.

All in all, Pretty Hot is a muskier, spicier, sultrier version of Pretty. If you liked Pretty but wanted a sexier version of it, Pretty Hot is for you.
