Eyeko Eye Cream with Extra Glow Review

I was given the chance to try the Eyeko Eye Cream with Extra Glow. Eyeko is known for their eye cream, a moisturizer, eye cream, and highlighter in one. This newer variant is more of a highlighter than anything else. It contains light diffusers that refract light and makes the eye area appear brighter and more rested. It is a multitasking highlighter with the benefits of the cult classic Eyeko Cream.

It comes in a light, creamy formula with lots of light reflecting particles for a brighter eye area. It is also a good highlighter for other parts of the face like the cheekbones, nose bridge and temples.

There is a trick on how to use this, though. If you don't set it with a powder or put too much product on the skin, this would look too greasy or shimmery on the face. I always use a small amount and just pat it on my undereye area with my ring finger. I then set it with a powder. I use my favorite, Lumiere Minerals' Salmon concealer. It sets the Eyeko eye cream and yet makes the eye area look supple, moisturized and brighter, more rested.

This eye cream is more of a highlighter than a moisturizer, so I put an additional eye cream underneath, especially during the winter when my skin is drier. During the summer, I can skip this process and use Eyeko cream by itself.

Again, this is not a very emollient moisturizer if that is what you're looking for for your very parched eye area. However, this would help diffuse light, brighten the area and blur imperfections. If you stayed up all night, this would also help to make you appear more rested.

All in all, I am liking this highlighter. When set properly with powder, this makes the eyes look soft, supple, well-rested.
