Meeting Anastasia Soare at The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Event

Brow goddess Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills helped my lovely brow expert MJ sculpt and shape my brows at the Anastasia Brow Event at the Scottsdale Fashion Square. I have many of Anastasia's products from Sephora, and most of you know her as the celebrity brow expert that sculpts and styles brows of Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz, etc.

I did a tutorial on how to use Anastasia's Brow Pencils, but it's still a different experience when the ultimate Brow Guru is present to check out your brows!

"Before" photo: With Anastasia and my non-brows. I had no makeup, and no brows too! LOL
(Pardon the hair; the associate that cleansed my skin clipped my hair, hence the matted hair look.)

I came to the venue made up, but Anastasia's associate stripped my face of makeup using their gentle makeup remover that smelled heavenly. She then massaged my face using Anastasia's Hydrating Oil which is part of their skincare line. I was very impressed with this oil. I've just undergone chemical peeling at Desert Bloom Skincare (post about the experience coming up!), and my skin has dry patches because of it. The Hydrating Oil truly soothed and rejuvenated my parched skin and it smelled heavenly. It features Jojoba, Borage, Black Currant and Meadowfoam Seed Oil.  Loveage, an aromatic oil, is also an ingredient and it really smelled fabulous and revived my senses. These oils don't clog pores; they leave the skin feeling supple but not greasy. I loved it so much that I bought a bottle.

I've had the Line Erasing Serum for a while now and I love to use it on my eye area to firm it up. What I didn't know, however, was that it can be used all over the face! Anastasia's associate massaged this on the entire face and it was soothing and cool. It was designed to firm up the skin.

MJ, the lovely lady that sculpted my brows under Anastasia's supervision, applied Cooling Eye Brightener on my left undereye area, and immediately, the left eyebag started to look less puffy as compared to the right side. I was impressed. This felt soothing and heavenly on the eye area. It has caffeine that perks up the eyes, as well as white tea to de-puff and tone the under-eye area. Of course, I had to have this!

See the end result of my brows and how I achieved it after the jump!

After all the soothing skin prep, MJ worked on my brows. She waxed and shaped my brows using the Medium Arch of the Anastasia stencils:

I have been using my stencils before but I had stopped, and I just realized how amazing the results of the stencils are especially if you are at a loss on how to shape your brows.

Here is how my brows looked using the Petite Arch stencil:

As I said, MJ used the Medium Arch and here is the final result:

I was actually not used to the thicker, fuller brows, but I realized that people pluck their brows to attempt to achieve a higher, more glamorous arch, but it turns out that it doesn't create a glamorous brow but a bald one instead. Interestingly, Anastasia said that my left eyebrow looks better than my right eyebrow. MJ said it's probably because I am right-handed and I tend to over-pluck my right eyebrow. She was spot-on.

I will continue to use the stencil until I learn how to do it freehand. It was a great experience at the Anastasia Brow Counter with the Brow Guru herself. Anastasia was very amiable and genuinely nice. She took time to answer questions and she checked each and every pair of brows done at the event.

People who attended and had their eyebrows done were given a little gift case from Anastasia:

I love the stuff inside. I got a dual sharpener that I need for my small Anastasia brow pencils and the bigger highlighter pencils. I also got a matte highlighter in Camille. I love Camille; it emphasizes the great shape of your brow by creating a clean browbone and also highlights it in a very subdued way because it's not shimmery. The Lash Lifting mascara is also included in the little kit, as well as the Brow Definer, a dual-sided product featuring a clear brow gel on one end and a brow pencil on the other.

Watch out for more reviews featuring Anastasia products.

Wow you look amazing without any makeup! The brows are pretty, but honestly I think you do them beautifully yourself in all of your FOTDs =)

Ooh that's very interesting what she said about overplucking and being a righty. My left brow is nicer than my right, and maybe that's why! Great post!

That's really neat. I got some powder from Sephora as a sample but haven't tried it yet.

Michelle- thank you and nice to "meet" you here! Enjoy blogging =)

rainbow sta@r! hello kitty p@nts!- you are so sweet. Thank you and I appreciate it. I needed help to just get the basic shape of the brow, and I can do it by myself after that =)

D's Beauty Corner- that was a revelation for me too but it made sense =)

Scientific Housewife- I use their brow powder everyday and I really like it.
