Simple Neutral Look Using Mineral Shadows

I opted for a simple neutral look for an afternoon with my son and our friends. I was very happy to use mineral shadows that I have not been using for so long, and using them has made me fall in love with the textures, shades and finish of these products. I used Lumiere's mineral shadows and I've always said that I love this brand's quality. You can really use these dry and you would still get very good color pay-off. I used my favorite dark/crease colors in Cola and Hazelnut. I forgot to use two other amazing browns from Lumiere called Driftwood and Cocoa, but all these are gorgeous. Cola reminds me so much of MAC's Museum Bronze pigment both in color and finish on the skin. I used Cola and Hazelnut on the crease, and for my lid color, I used my favorite wash shade right now from Aromaleigh, the Holiday color Champagne Toast. I am sad that this is limited edition and has now been pulled out of Aromaleigh's inventory. Good thing I got a full size jar of this which I know I will be reaching for again and again. I just love how neutral but sparkly it is on the lids, without being too garish or shimmery. It's perfect to wear even during daytime to give a little sparkle to your eye and make your eye area look brighter and less tired.

For my cheeks, I used NARS Super Orgasm blush with my new MAC 165 rosebud blush. I thought I couldn't use this brush as a blush brush because the head was a tad too small, but it was actually great in building color on the cheeks and swirling it on the face makes your blush look lit-from-within and not overly-applied.

Eyes:
UD primer potion as primer on lid and to line lower lashline
Aromaleigh mineral shadow in Champagne Toast foiled on lid and inner corners
Lumiere mineral shadow in Cola on outer lid
Lumiere mineral shadow in Hazelnut on outer V and to contour crease
MAC pigment in Vanilla to highlight
Almay liquid liner in Brown
UD 24/7 liner in Zero to tightline and on waterline
L'oreal and Maybelline mascaras

Face:
Monistat gel as primer
Cory mineral foundation in Beyond Cream
UD 24/7 pencil concealer on undereye area
Bare Escentuals Well Rested over UD 24/7
Aromaleigh Ultra Resolution finishing powder in Translucent
NARS blush in Super Orgasm

Lips:
Almay lipliner in Bronze
MAC lipstick in Viva Glam V
MAC lipglass in Live & Dye

And here's the my nail of the day - I used I believe a discontinued (but gorgeous!) raisin-mauvish-winey color from OPI called Route Beer Float. It also has micro shimmer finish that is sooo gorgeous. Love it! I can't wait to have my toes painted with the same color. I believe this is a pretty rare polish and I find it interesting and unusual that this is a dark color but suitable enough for office wear.

I love all the looks you do! Just gorgous! I wish I could pull off dark colored nail polish but my skins too fair, so it makes me look even lighter and it just plain unflattering.
